So I'm going to rent a water mouse at Fort Wilderness and tour the lake. My DF does not want to rent one with me, so she's going to be stuck on the land while I am out at sea. :)

What are some things she could do at Fort Wilderness while I am out boating for an hour? I wish she'd just rent a boat along with me, it'd be a lot easier. :)

there is a petting zoo at FW that is kind of neat. It is really geared toward small children, but your friend may enjoy it. There is also a barn that houses the horses that are used at MK on main street. We enjoyed seeing and petting them while there. Or she might want to rent a golf cart and just buzz around FW. I think that would be fun, but a little pricey. I think golf carts are about $45.00 for the day.:earseek:

She could sit on the beach and read a book or sunworship (with sunscreen!) or hang at the pool and you could meet up with her later. She could sit on the porch at Crocketts Tavern and sip a cool drink while she rocks away and people watches. An hour will go by quickly. She would love the boats though, maybe you can talk her into it;)

I agree that sitting on the rocking chairs on the porch with a lemonade and reading, or better yet, just relaxing and letting the world go by, is one of my all-time favorite activities at FW! Also just browsing around the shops there, and walking around. It is so beautiful. I also love to visit the horse barn.
