Fort Wilderness Lodge

Hello! We're thinking of staying at Fort Wildnerness Lodge this summer. Can anyone recommend this resort? Also, does it have it's own shuttle service to and from the parks, or do the shuttles makes stops at other resorts too before/after Wilderness Lodge before heading heading to the parks? Thanks for any help offered!

Do you mean Wilderness Lodge or the Ft. Wilderness Campground?

I've stayed at Wilderness Lodge twice so far and really liked it. When I stayed there last in Feb. 2011, it was sharing buses with the Ft. Wilderness Campground.

I think you mean Wilderness Lodge, and YES! I can recommend it. In my signature is the link to the WL thread. I have lots of photos and information on the first page. Feel free to post more questions here or there.

The WL has both boat and bus transportation. One boat goes to the MK and the other goes to Fort Wilderness (where the cabins and campground are) and to the Contemporary next door. From there, you can walk to the MK or take the monorail to the TTC, Poly, GF and MK. The buses go to the parks. The MK bus doesn't share with other resorts, but the other buses do.

Welcome to the Dis!

There are 2 very different resorts. Fort Wilderness are campsites and they have cabins which are considered to be in the moderate bracket. Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe resort.

As of now, I believe Pop is the only resort with it's own bus and only 1 resort stop. All other resorts either share buses and/or have multiple stops in their resort. Wilderness Lodge also has a lovely boat to MK.
