Fort Wilderness Here We Come.........but not until 2009

Ok, so I know that I sound a little crazy for starting my trip report like 19 months early, so just bear with me. Our last trip was in October of 2006 when we went for a week and stayed at Shades of Green.....beautiful military resort, I might add. We were going to try and go this October (08) but with my husband retiring from the Navy and getting a new job, we werent sure where he would be, how vacation time would work at a civilian job, etc. so we decided to wait until the following year.

Long story short......fell into a great deal on a travel trailer on Ebay at the end of the summer last year, so we bought it. The first thing we said as we are towing it home was, We are soooooo going camping at Fort Wilderness now! Woohoo......

Our dates are yet to be determined, but will fall somewhere in between the last to weeks of October and the first two weeks of November. We usually go during Columbus day week, but this time we want to go for two weeks now that we can afford it, plus, what started out as just us, has turned into a grand gathering event of about 54 people filling up about 14 or so campers. We are having a big get together soon to nail down our dates and make our reservations all on the same day.......Please pray for the cast member who gets our lucky phone call...LOL So, thats all I have for now, plus I have to leave for work, so I cant sit and prolong the agony. I am sure that I will be around here more......I appoligize now to you all.

I'm here! So glad you started a PTR. It'll be nice to have another camper along for the 19-20 months

And holy cow about the grand gathering!! That's some group!

I take it either you don't have kids or you homeschool since you're going for two weeks during the school year?
