Fort Wilderness Campground

If you are into camping, go with that. We made our first visit to Fort Wilderness back when I was 15 years old. Very veteran campers and rated each campground. We couldn't do that with Fort Wilderness. It was off the scale. If a ten was the highest, Fort Wilderness would have been a 50. I very distinctly remember my father standing in front of our trailer with a mug of coffee in his hand and saying over and over "I can't believe this place!"

Cut to two years ago (about 27 years after that first stay at Fort Wilderness). We were in a cabin, my father in a campsite. Same thing. Every morning my dad said "I can't believe this place!"

You will love Fort Wilderness, it is a great place I would rather stay there then a value resort. I think you can relax more in your own unit then a hotel room.

My vote is for the campground, too! After camping there for several years, we stayed at POR for our son's wedding a few years back. Short trip, didn't want to pull the trailer that far, etc. POR is nice, but it just wasn't the same in a hotel. We were so homesick for FW that we visited one afternoon.

I don't think you can camp at a value resort, maybe that changed. :rotfl2:
FW is a wonderful and beautiful place, you can't go wrong

When are you going to be their in May?

I will be arriving May 6th and leaving May 17th

See you there?
