Did anyone do the "CD only " package?

We are trying to choose a photographer, and we are trying to choose an affordable option. I am trying to decide if its worth the jump in price to have them print some of them for us, or if we could do that ourself? If we could get away with a CD only pacakge, we might be able to have a videographer.

Advice?

We have looked at Randy as well, I like that he and STVS have some nice packages together, but I really love Mistys pics they are a bit of a different style. The Roots are out of our price range, as is Karla Fountain.

Are there any other photogs that anyone has used?

So right now we are looking at Randy & STVS vs Misty any advice?

I used both Randy and Stan and loved our photos and video. As far as the CD only, I don't think you'll be disappointed in regards to prints. I'm a year out and haven't ordered all of mine yet :upsidedow The one thing you might miss is an album. I know I love ours and it was a must have for me. I know there are some sites like www.mpix.com where you can make your own professional ones though.

In the end, it comes down to personal style. Randy does more natural shots while Misty does a lot of Photoshop work which is also very nice. It just depends on your preference. Here are a few samples of my favorite wedding shots:

Okay, I literally have 100s more, so I will just stop. In the end I had over 2,300 prints on my DVDs that I received from Randy :woohoo:

I had Misty. I didn't get the CD only option but I had about 4,000 pictures on my CD...LOL. You can definitely do just the CD and print out some nice quality prints on www.mpix.com for a cheap price. You can also get portraits made on that site as well.

I had the Roots and did a CD-only package. I've used Mpix.com for prints, and I love them, but even more than that, I love the photo books I've made using www.blurb.com. You just kind of have to have the time and the energy to do all this stuff yourself.

we used misty cd only package and it was great, we also had stan for 4 hours as well as were were tight on budget

Misty was great and I can pot pics if you want but there are loads in my tr link below

I'm using Studio 222. I don't have pictures yet since the wedding hasn't happened, but everything in their portfolio and on their blog is so fantastic, I am confident I will be happy.
