Formal Night(s)?

I am spending way too much time on these boards - as I am reading about how to dress I am unsure about how often and in what. We are traveling on the Eastern Magic this Saturday - I need to finish packing!! Are there 2 formal nights, 2 semi-formal, 2 casual and then the Pirate night?

You'll have one formal, one semi formal and one pirate night. The rest is a nice casual dress for dinner. If you choose to eat in Palo, you may want to bring another change of dressier clothes, or you can just wear what you wore to semi formal night!

Your best bet would be to read through navigators from past cruises. They can be found on www.dcltribute.com. Good resource!

We just got back from the 1/8 Eastern- I was expecting to have 1 semi formal nite, 1 formal nite, and Palo's-don't know if it was just the week that we went or not, but we had 2 semi formal nites instead- and Palo's has a sign up saying that jackets are "suggested" - (i.e. not required)

I know that lots of people have written upon return that next time they will not pack as many clothes- I will add that next time we won't pack as many dressy clothes- for example, I had packed button down resort casual shirts (you know, "island" style) for my husband to wear during the day w/his shorts, but we saw lots of men w/ decent looking t-shirts or polo style shirts-
it would of saved some ironing and folding "just right" if we didn't have to bring them, plus I wouldn't of had to hear him whine about wearing the nice shirts-

Even on the semi formal nites as well as at Palo's , we saw alot of people dressed more casually than I had expected-
