Foreign currency

Hi everyone,

We just came back from our trip to Mexico for xmas and got some leftover Mexican Pesos. We're going on the Wish next month ( yay! ) and I thought that Instead for exchange them back to dollars, I can put them as credit on board. Can I do that?
I know you can exchange currency on board, but I want to know if I can use foreign currency to add as credit for out trip.

Not exactly. The ships currency is US Dollars, so what guest services will do is change the Mexican Pesos into US Dollars and then put the US Dollars as credit on to your ship account.

You'll probably get a better exchange rate at a local bank, I'd check around.

I tried to do that when we got on board for our cruise leaving Southampton. I had some GBP left over. They would do it, but the exchange rate was terrible.

So it is better to exchange it before the cruise.
