Forbidden Journey child swap?

Do they offer a child swap for Forbidden Journey in HP at IOA? My DD may just be tall enough but I don't think she will be brave enough. With the long wait for the ride I'm hoping for a child swap rather than me and DH having to line up separately. If so, how does it work?

There is a waiting area (a small room) between the load and unload area of the ride.
You need to ask a Hogwarts Student at the entrance of the ride for directions.
But basically you do the line, and at the load area, tell a student you need a child swap and the child + guardian will be asked to enter the waiting room while the other parent gets to ride.

Child swap works for kids who are under the height limit, it's not supposed to work for kids who are tall enough but don't want to ride. You should be ok, but if your daughter is visibly tall enough, the Student might question your using the child swap.

ETA : they only give 1 ticket for the parent who've waited. So no re-ride for other riders e.g. other kids in your party

Everybody waits in line together, then at the end of the line, the child and adult(s) go into the Child Swap room and the others ride. Whoever didn't get to ride the first time, or others who want to go again, can ride when the first group gets back. There aren't any tickets, but you can only swap once. You won't have any problem using the room Have fun!
