One of the CMs at Reservations yesterday gave me a great tip: He was telling me to enter the park through the main gates, and you come through some tunnel, you can go left or right (my brain doesn't work this way, so he was losing me here), and when you see the castle, do not take a picture of it! (Whaaa?) He said to turn the camera on DS6 to capture his expression as he sees it for the first time! He told me that this moment will never happen again, so try to preserve it. The castle will still be there.

I loved this tip, and I wouldn't have thought to do it on my own, so thought I'd share it with you all.

Fun idea. I'll have to remember this for a few years down the road when I have kids.

We did that 4 years ago with our 5 year old at the time. Got it all on video and is now a classic video moment in our archives.

I will be sure to do this when we bring our friends on their 1st trip. Thanks for posting!

What a cute idea! We are going in Oct. It'll be the second time for dd but she had just turned 3 the last time and now she's almost 5 so I know she doesn't really remember what everything looks like. And younger dd is 18 mo and it's her 1st trip and I know she's gonna be in visual overdrive!
