For you purse lovers - Do you carry one with you when you cruise?

I love my purses and have a few Disney Dooney's. My family knows that is my hobby/obsession or whatever you want to label it. Well for our upcoming cruise they think I am crazy cause I said I am not taking a purse with me - not even my Fantasy Inaugural Dooney one. I won't carry it on the ship or at CC and have a little hipster to take while in port. Does anyone take a purse or carry it while on a cruise? I have thought about taking it to have the captain sign the tag that hangs off of it but then don't know that I want ink on it that might smear. We aren't doing WDW before or after or anything and live only a few hours from port if that makes a difference.

I only carry my purse TO the cruise and FROM the cruise, when traveling. ON the cruise, I do my best to have clothing that has pockets.

I use crossbody bags, phone wallets, etc...

I also use a canvas tote bag for the pool that I keep in my suitcase. I've forgotten a pool bag once too many times before!

I have TONS of different bags (totes, little crossbody bags, etc...) and have a few planned to use but just didn't plan on leaving the house with my purse. Family made me think I was nuts for leaving it at home. I normally carry a purse everywhere so maybe they are just in shock. I just don't get the point in taking it just to carry it onboard, store it away and then at the end of the trip carry it back to the car and home again. I wondered how many women carry their purse on the ship. I understand if you have to travel a long way to get there but we don't have to.

Mostly I use my lanyard on board (although I'll carry my D&B clutch to dinner in the evenings), then have a crossbody messenger-style bag I use for my camera and wallet on shore.

DW uses a old laptop bag as her carry-on with paperwork, passports, meds, and personal items.
My back pocket is her purse for around the ship.
On exursions she uses a hip bag.

I use a little Disney cruise dooney for dinners that I can throw my kttw card, lipstick & iPhone in. During the day, it all goes in the beach bag or pockets. Hope that helps.

Not a purse lover, but I usually don't carry mine (and we fly). I do carry almost everything in it though in my carryon for the plane.

I always have a bag with me in my daily life. And I noticed that when I am traveling and don't have one (for example have a backpack instead), I tend to be really nervous all the time because I am missing my usual bag. So that might be a reason for me to take it even if it just is in the closet during the cruise.

My purse goes everywhere with me, no matter how short the distance. I don't tote it around with me though, while onboard.

Nope, I leave my purse at home while cruising. I love bags, but to me, it's just something else to keep up with. Maybe if we were cruising the Med or Europe, I would bring my Coach cross body for my phone and such but for the Bahamas or Caribbean, it's staying home. If we are wandering the ship, my DH's pocket is usually my purse. While at CC or Atlantis or some other beach, everything goes in my Kyss bag.

I understand. I finally got a Haunted Mansion D&B last Christmas and I'm SOOOO in love with it. I've carried it every day since I got it, but I'm sure I'm not taking it on the ship. I'd be totally paranoid.

I guess I won't be able to bring it at all. I'd hate to leave it in car. We bought it midway through our trip in December and I was trying to hide it under the bed while we were out during the day.

I took just a small crossbody on my recent cruise. I carried it only on port days when walking around town (not on beach trips). Around the cruise, I did carry my wallet (wristlet) because I liked having the place to store my phone. Most of my sundresses don't have pockets so the wristlet was a great alternative.

No purse here, at least not when I am traveling. I had two tote bags, one with Mickey and one with an anchor. I used the anchor one for shore ex and sometimes for the pool. Otherwise, I would just use my lanyard

I don't travel with my purse, I use a cross-body bag when on the plane, checking in but while onboard the cruise (or WDW or resorts) I carry a beach tote. I do take a couple of small purses or a clutch that I may want to use for a dress-up dinner. They are usually left in my luggage though...

No. I don't use my purse on a cruise. I use my lanyard on the ship, a cross body in port (or just my husbands pockets) or a beach tote bag for excursions/beach etc.

I used a small cross body to carry my phone (doubled as my camera), Chapstick, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, and a copy of the navigator. Most of my outfits didn't have pockets, and I despise lanyards so my KTTW card was in the cross-body too. I had a beach tote for sitting by the pool with my kindle, sunscreen, etc. I also brought one pretty clutch that I used for my evening at Remy (more fashion than function!). I adore purses but the cross body was great. A wristlet might have worked well too.

I used one of those phone/wallet wristlets because I was afraid I would feel naked without my purse. I did bring it but it was packed away. It worked great bc I could keep key card and phone for quick pics handy. We also used a backpack quite a bit
