You probably know of this site already, but if not, you'll probably thank me for this one. I just recently started getting old games for my PC from Good Old Games dot com... www.gog.com . Just a guess, but I bet they have about 200 games available.

Most of the games are $4.99 - $9.99... though sometimes you can get some games for $3.

A few that I have bought:

1. Jagged Alliance

2. Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 ( they are packaged together )

3. Masters of Orion 1 & 2 ( also packaged together, and IMO, MOO2 was the greatest 4x game ever made )

4. Gabriel Knight - The Beast Within ... what a great adventure game!

And on my list to buy are Sanitarium, Temple of Elemental Evil, and Capitalism ( a tremendous, but hard, business sim )

What they do on gog.com is take these old games and make them ready for the OS you have, which would not have been compatible with these old, and really fun, games. GOG tells you which OS's they have primed these games for.

You can DL the game as often as you like.... a few of these games I have on my laptop and my desktop. They also have a good online support forum.

I am not affiliated with the site other than the fact that I have bought about 5 or 6 games from them.

That was a GREAT game...if you liked that, also try The 7th Guest, and Phantasmagoria..both really good adventure puzzle games..

I was a big fan of the Kings Quest series too. I will have to take a look at this site. I was a HUGE fan of the original Theme Park Tycoon game, and it will not run on my fancy new system..it goes at the speed of light!

You should try Sanitarium.... it will freak you out.

I played 7th Guest. That was good.

The last computer game I burned a lot of time on was "The 7th Guest". (I beat it). I never got into the sequel ("The 11th Hour").

The only other computer game I really liked was the original text-based "Adventure". "You are standing at the end of a road..." "Xyzzy!!!!"

gotta love those old infocom text based games.... always enjoyed playing the Zork series myself....

and have to agree that M002 was an awesome game.... spent many o' night conquering the galaxy.... it's a shame they ruined it with M003 (thankfully, I picked that up for cheap.... still would have been more satisfying to buy lunch with that $$$ instead).
