For Those Who've Been To Hilton Head. (or if you just happen to know)

We are thinking about doing a week there in January just to get away from it all.

My questions though:

-What's there to do?

-I see no packages...

-Are dining/activities inclusive, or is everything a la carte?

It's all a la carte.

What to do? We like to relax, rent bikes, do the nature tours, relax, maybe hit the outlets, relax, swim (yes, it may be warm enough then, and the pools are heated), and someday we'll golf.

The HHI resort will still have a full schedule of activities available for both adults and children. If you will be there a full week, you might find a day-trip to Savannah (about 45 minutes away) worthwhile.

There is also a lot to do right at HH with nature tours, shelling, horseback riding, bike rentals (there are miles and miles of paved bike trails all over the island), golf, tennis, swimming (in the heated pools), shopping (lots of boutique shops on the island as well as the outlet malls just off-island) and dining (over 200 restaurants within 5 miles of the resort).

The resort staff will be happy to make suggestions. Look for Gordon in the Mercantile for some great dining suggestions.
