DDs school is having a car boot sale this weekend I have finally, after much persuading from DH, sorted out some of my precious books for the sale. Now I love my books and always look after them, the huge majority you couldn't even tell they've been read! having never done a boot sale before I've no idea how much to charge for our stuff, especially my lovely books:confused:
so the question is how much would you be willing to pay at a car boot sale for a good conditioned book?

Also, I have loads of kids clothes, again all in very good condition, so any idea how much we should charge for, say, a pretty dress from Next for example?

The idea is obviously to make some money so don't want to give the stuff away but at the same time don't want to end up pricing ourselves out of selling anything!

I would think you would probably be better off selling them on ebay, as in car boots things seem to sell for next to nothing! and the haggling(sp?) that goes on is rediculous.

i would say you would get 50p to £1 per book and the clothes may not sell for much more :sad2:

i agree with Jeanette ebay would probably give you more money but its more hassle :confused3

I have a lot of success with kids clothes on ebay but if you decide to sell the books on ebay watch out for weight as some cost a fortune to post :)

Most books I have seen at boot sales are in the 10p -50p region
