For those who have yet to buy Princess & The Frog (an awesome deal w/ Toy Story 1&2)

I ran to TRU as soon as I saw this, I am not sure if I did it right as my deal was not as good but it is still good so I am happy, but this was how mine worked. Wish I understood the receipt better though.
This is what it says...

Princess and the Frog $14.99
$15 off select item 34.99-15.00
Disney Promo 19.99-0.00
Disney Promo 19.99-5.00
Presell Toy 5.00
$15 off select item 5.00-0.00
Presell Toy 2 5.00
$15 off select item 5.00-0.00
Disney Promo 5.00-0.00
Jewelry Box 0.00
Vendor Coupon 10.00-
Subtotal 14.99
Tax 1.52
Total 16.51

So I am wondering, did I get the $15 off for preordering both? :confused3 The sticker price was $34.99 but I asked about it being cheaper online and he said it was ringing up $15 off but I am wondering if that was right or not or if they somehow didn't give me the $15 off for the preorder though the way it is broken down it looks like it. I think maybe it was not on sale and he was mistaken. I am not sure, but still, I basically paid $5 for P$TF on BluRay so that is great. I wasn't going to buy TS1&2 on BluRay since we have them on DVD and don't have a BluRay player yet but just the free movie tickets alone made it worth it and we will be buing one soon anyway.

Anyone see anyting I did wrong? Maybe it was just that the price went up being Sunday.

All the same.. :cheer2::yay::cheer2: I am happy with this deal, thanks everyone!

You did it right, you're problem is that PATF was only on sale ($26.99) until yesterday. That makes an $8 difference. Your total (before tax and rebates) should be $18.97 for all three movies! Whereas, if you'd purchased PATF yesterday, it would've been $10.97 for all three! Of course, the way things have been ringing up this weekend, they may end up owing us money. :rotfl:

OK so with that difference I can ahead of where I should have for today. Sounds good. I am pleased. I paid $16.00 forjust the DVD (that thankfully we had not opened yet) so I am pleased with this deal. :thumbsup2

Thanks for answering that for me!

Did yo uask? Ours didn't have any out either but I asked and he brought a bunch out.

I did ask and they said they were out of stock. Plenty of the regular DVDs, but no Blu-Rays and the additional $10 coupon I had was for the blu-ray.

I am going to try my other tru tomorrow morning.

Just thought I'd offer it since that was what happened at ours, well, good luck at another store tomorrow.

Just have to post that this deal is still mostly active through the end of today. I just picked up a copy of patf on blu Ray and pre ordered toy story 1 and 2 for $15 before tax. I know it would have been cheaper if I would have caught patf on sale over the weekend but it was still a great deal!!

It didn't work for me because I have the 3 disc version of Toy Story 1 and 2 with a supplemental DVD and for some reason it's not recognizing the UPC code. SO frustrating!!!!

Try the codes below.

I think the tickets for TS3 are inside the actual cases for the movie. :confused3

Also, I follow another savings blog hip2save and here is what she said about the coupons for TS1 and 2!

"As you may know, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be released on Tuesday, March 23rd! To get ready for this upcoming release you’ll want to print a couple great coupons. Just head on over to Disney Movie Rewards and login or register for an account. After doing so, enter this code 786936294507 in the orange box that states “Enter Code” in the middle of the right side of the page. You will then be able to click on a link to print a coupon valid for $10 off Toy Story Blu-ray / DVD Combo pack. After printing that coupon, enter this code 786936294521 to print a coupon valid for $10 off Toy Story 2 Blu-ray / DVD Combo pack!

..AND get this, not ONLY can you use these sweet coupons to score an awesome deal…. BUT each Toy Story Blu-ray / DVD Combo pack will contain a movie ticket (valued up to $8.50) to see Toy Story 3 in June!"

Just a side note: I love hip2save!

Also, just as an FYI, you don't have to have your Toy Story coupons printed and ready to go until you pick them up tomorrow or after. I wasn't able to get mine to work with the VHS tapes I have either, but after I found these codes, I was able to get them printed.

Yay it worked!! I know this has already been laid out in detail but I'm so excited to save money I have to add my story:

DH went to Toys R Us and pre-ordered the Toy Story 1 and 2 Blu Ray combo packs for $10. He then received $15.00 off Princess and the Frog ($34.99) = $19.99. Then Toys R Us let him use BOTH coupons for Princess and the Frog - the $10 off = $9.99 and $5 off = 4.99. I love saving money!

Tomorrow it will be even better tho, because both Toy Story Blu-Rays are on sale for $16.99 each = $33.98. We have two $10 off coupons - one for each Blu-Ray = $13.98. PLUS, we get $10 off from paying for the pre-order = $3.98. I also have two additional $5 off coupons (one for TS1 and one for TS2). I'm not sure if they'll let us use these as well, but it's worth a try! Without the $5 off coupons we'll have gotten 3 blu-ray combo packs for $8.97. If they DO take the coupons we'll have gotten them for free!! Thanks so much for the tips!!

YAY!!! So glad it worked for more of you!

And don't forget to send in the two rebates one for the band-aids and one for the success rice and get another $10 back! I am going to end up paying $2 total for PATF blu-ray combo pack, TS 1 and 2 combo pack and 2 movie tickets for TS3!

I'm seeing reports that the TS combos are DVD/Blu-Ray only and don't include the digital copy. :confused3

Yep, that is correct, kinda lame! And they are in the bigger black box not the smaller blue case like Blu-ray's. Oh well, paid $6 for both after tax and came with 2 free movie tickets for TS3 so I can't complain too much! :rotfl: Oh and 250 pts for my movie rewards account.

I thought there were going to be two different versions, DVD packaging and bluray packaging. My husband went and picked them up and he said they only had the DVD packaging. Huh? Oh well.

Actually Walmart had them in the blu-ray case as well as in the dvd case. The blu-ray case said blu-ray/dvd where as the dvd said dvd/blu-ray. For some reason toysrus only had the dvd cases though. I am going to try to exchange mine if they get the blu-ray cases in.

Just wanted to say that Toys R Us DOES accept both coupons - 1 $10 Coupon for Toy Story 1, 1 $5 Coupon for Toy Story 1, 1 $10 coupon for Toy Story 2 and 1 $5 Coupon for Toy Story 2. So, you can actually save $30 using all of those coupons. The person at the checkout might tell you that it won't work because you've already used one vendor coupon, but ask them if they'll just try it...it worked for me! I was able to use both the $5 and $10 coupons for all three movies - Princess and the Frog, TS1 and TS2. I also printed out my free movie tickets!! AWESOME deal!!
