For those who have stayed at CSR...

We are driving to WDW and staying at CSR, so therefore we will have our own car. Were there any parks that you think would be quicker to get to with your own car vs. Disney transportation? I've heard it may be quicker to get to MK with your own vehicle, how about DD? Thanks.

The Bus Service at CSR is awesome! So if you just want a day of relaxation without driving in the traffic try it.
Otherwise your own car is great cause you will not have to wait at all!

MK is the park that you want to take the bus to. It parks very close to the front entrance of the park instead of across the lake where you have to take a monorail or ferry boat.

Otherwise taking your car is a great way to go.

I agree. I wouldn't drive to MK. You have to park your car and then take the monrail or the boat over to the entrance. The buses drop you off right in front.

We stayed at CSR last November and thought the bus service was great. I personally wouldn't drive anywhere.

Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk are the only places I would drive unless I had PS's at other resorts then I would drive there too.

The bus to/from DtD gets crowded late at night.

The Boardwalk is a good escape after Illuminations. Watch the fireworks from the bridge connecting UK and France then head out the International Gateway to the Boardwalk for your car.

Definately don't drive to MK because you get dropped off at the TTC. Then you have to take the monorail or boat to MK.

AK, EPCOT and MGM are all very close to CSR as is Blizzard Beach. Not worth driving. CSR has great bus service.

Thanks for the info about illuminations, but will I need a PS at the Boardwalk to park there?

Nope, not as long as you have your CSR parking pass on your dash, the guard just waved me in. I was going to tell them I was going shopping and to dinner but they never asked. They must have parking for folks that just are going to the Boardwalk to eat and shop anyway.

CSr has great bus service-always fast to every park during our visits which are at busy times of the year. The buses were never crowded!

we spent the first part of oct. there last year flew in and rented a car drove to CSR check in was fast she gave us a map off to park the car (what color was it) and never saw the car again. We even had a ps at CG and had a blast getting there that was part of the fun.
That said we had to look at the keychain to find the car when we left 10 days later and we wount rent again.
