Were you able to scan your emailed tickets into the Universal app? I've tried scanning the QR code and manually inputting the ticket number, and it is saying invalid. I don't know if there is any big advantage to having your ticket scanned into the app, but I'm a little worried that it's saying invalid.

I was able to add the tickets to the app with no issues. I had to manually enter the ticket number which is 21 digits long. If that doesn't work, I would contact RedTag or Travel Brands.

I did in February when I went. I had everything set up and when I scanned the printed version it went painlessly. Like the other poster said if it keeps giving you trouble, I would contact Travel Brands to get it sorted. I hope you get it sorted quickly. It makes me grateful that when I purchased our tickets it was painless with zero hassles.

That being said...I would also carry a paper copy with you in the parks. A couple of the lockers for some of the rides require that code to scan to open the locker, and you can't open the locker if your phone is in the locker :rolleyes1 lol. It's easier to have the paper copy than to track down a team member to get a code to scan. They are there watching ( thankfully) and gave us a paper with a code on it to scan so we could open the locker after the ride.

Oh that's a great tip, thanks!

So I waited on hold with RedTag for an hour, and when I finally spoke with someone, they had no clue why they won't scan :( They said the tickets are valid and everything should be good. I guess I'll just keep trying - I tried going through the website rather than the app today, and still no luck.

The ticket I scanned into the universal app was a QR code. Is that what is on ticket? I'm just trying to brainstorm as to why it won't work when Regtag is saying it's a valid ticket.

I ended up emailing Universal - they were really helpful! They asked me to email them the electronic ticket and replied with this:

“Thank you for providing the requested information.

At this time, some third-party tickets cannot be linked to our App. However, I was able to confirm that your tickets are valid to enter the Park! If you have the PDF Ticket Order, you are welcome to scan the tickets off of your phone when you arrive at the Park. I apologize for any inconvenience.”

I’m happy to have confirmation from them that the ticket is valid :)
