I called WDW res. to book for 2010 and was shocked at the price quoted. The CM informed me that was the rates they had, and I had to take into account the annual increase. I have since learned (thanks to this wonderful board) that they quote the highest rack rate. If, in the past, you have held a ressie before the new rates for the year came out... has the new rate always been lower than the original quoted price?
Thanks!
(trying to decide if we should keep our Nov. ressie or change to Jan (wittout knowing the rates) )

I think it depends on when your going. For example:

I booked Jan 10' at Caribbean Beach so value season rate for 2009 was $149.00, but my deposit was at $205.00 which is peak season rate for 2009. I would assume the new rate for 2010 would be a couple bucks more than $149.00 but in no way should it be $205.00.

If you booked peak season in 2010 and paid a deposit at 2009 peak season rate your new rate will probably be more.

It does depend on when you are going...we did this in the past for an Oct stay and the room rate was reduced once I got a 40% off code 3 months after I booked it
