Our family has been to WDW many times; we'll be spending a day at the Paris parks in July. What attractions at the Paris parks are different or better than at the WDW parks and shouldn't be missed? Given limited time, which Paris attractions might we pass up because the WDW ones are essentially identical or better than at the Paris parks?

Rides you should really do:
- Peter Pan
- Phantom Manor
- Space Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Storybookland (Pays de comte de fées or something like it, really really pretty!) and there is also Casey Jr
- iasw. I know, the dolls from hell, but I still think Paris has the nicest version!!!

When I was at WDW, POTC was closed, but the Paris' one is really nice!!
Also, don't miss the dragon under the castle!!!

ETA: Does MK have a Pinocchio ride? Don't remember.
Snow white, Dumbo, carrousel, Honey I shrunk the audience, star tours, buzz are all the same as at WDW.

Pinocchio is similar to DL (WDW does not have it)

BTMRR is a must; if you have not been to DL then Pays de comte de Fees and/or Casey Jr; the Dragon's Lair; a walk around the castle (outside and inside on the upper levels); IASW; Space Mountain if you do the upside down rides. Pirates is in my mind the best storyline and flow in DLRP

I would be on the fence about Peter Pan - I think that the DLRP version is not as good. Same with Phantom Manor

But with good planning you should get into all of those.

The best advice I can give to those from America who come to DLRP - come with an open mind and embrace the differences between the parks. If you come having read about dirty parks, public urination, rude CMs, queue jumping guests, etc, etc and expect to see such, you will not have a good time.

If you come expecting a park which reflects the various cultures of Europe, has magical touches such as those found at the original DL, a variety of food not on offer in the American parks, etc etc you will have a much better time....

Don't forget to visit Alice Curious Labyrinth. Because you can only visit this attraction in DLRP and nowhere else!

My family will also be visiting from the US to DLPR for the first time this summer in August. My sister is moving to Belgium for a year for work and we're going to visit her and do a day or two at DLRP. I'm feeling overwhelmed! I'm used to WDW as you can see in my sig. I've been lurking here on this board for about a week so hopefully I'll get more comfortable. We don't speak French but I've read that's OK as long as we're polite. Thanks for any and all info!
