for those who flew out of Buffalo Feb 07,k when did you buy air?

I know it is a ways off, but when is the best time to get the best seat tickets for feb 08? I went this past feb on a last min surprise, but now that i have plenty of time to get seat what airline and timing is best
we did southwest and i think the seats were 129 each way.

i heard mention that black friday in USA is a good time to book? I just don't want to be stuck with higher prices in the end or book too late!

I flew out of Buffalo January 07 and bought my flights in October 06. I find the best deals are 6 weeks to 3 months before your departure date.

We flew JetBlue out of Buffalo Feb 07. We purchased our tickets at the end of November - checking everyday for the prices to go down. SouthWest never offered us a price worth taking - I think their prices went down as low as $119 each way - never a ding on the days we needed. JetBlue's prices go up and down from the time they are opened up. We managed to get all of us (9 people!) for $59 each way. We did not fly direct but for the money saved it was worth it.
BTW - we bought as soon as we saw the low price. 3 of our party wanted to wait to talk to each other about flying out of buffalo and by the time they decided 30 minutes later those sale seats were gone and they flew back for $99 instead - still a good deal but not as good as $59!
If you can be flexible with your days you may find a better price with SW. We were flying out on Sunday and flying back on Saturday so offers were scarce. HTH!

I bought on Halloween for Feb 25th returning March 6th. $56 each way!!!! Yipee.

We booked our flight the first week of Nov. we also watched the prices for about 2 weeks before that as well.

I flew from BUF to MCO on Feb.1 and I booked it exactly 14 days prior. I got 2 tickets for $271 US including all taxes and fees. I did watch the schedules and prices for 2 weeks before that--- mainly because I wasn't sure if I was going to go. The price didn't change but the availablity was reduced and when I finally decided to go I had to alter my dates a little to get the non-stop flights.
