Every summer my family & I drive to Walt Disney World & we like to take Interstate 75. Since we live in Toronto, Ontario Canada we 1st take highway 401 Westbound to Windsor, Ontario & drive to the Ambassador Bridge that goes into Detroit, Michigian. After clearing USA Customs it's off to Interstate 75 South. The reason we like Interstate 75 is because to use it's the most direct route to Orlando & since there is a book called Along Interstate 75 by Dave Hunter, that lists every exits hotels, restaurant & gas stations it makes the drive a whole lot easier. In 2 weeks from tomorrow we will leaving for Interstate 75 on July 29th, however instead of getting of I75 - Florida Turnpike to go to Orlando, we are taking I75 - Tampa because we are 1st going to Clearwater Beach & then on August 8th, it's off to Walt Disney World. So which Interstate do you take when driving to Walt Disney World?

From Tampa, take I-4 eastbound toward Orlando. WDW is on the southside of the Orlando area so you'll reach WDW before the heart of Orlando traffic.

My family & I have driven from Tampa - Orlando before & we go in that route which you have talked about.

We're from the northeast part of Ohio and prefer, when we occasionally drive, I71 west to Cincinnati Ohio and then I75 south. Its a much nicer interstate, less mountains and it seems at times less traffic, especially semis then the closer interstate I77 south out of Akron. Only problem for us, going 5-6 hours west to get to Cincinnati before heading south to the mouse house. We've driven I77 south many a times long ago but the mountains and semis just about ruins my trip. Up the mountain, down the mountain, pass the semis, have the semis pass you, fog etc but once out of the mountains in the Carolinas its a nice road.

We've given up on the drive though and have resorted to Amtrak from Ohio to Kissimmee Florida. Much easier on nerves and tempers and in 27 hours we're in the mouse world, not for everyone but we prefer the train.

From southeastern MA, there is really only one route. I95.

For me to go I495 to I90 to I84 to I86 etc is just way too much time and mileage. I will bounce on and off of I95 in Maryland, but I am pertty much committed to I95 until Daytona Beach.
