For those who drive a motor home down

My son blew a tire while trailing on US-19 on the route I described earlier. He didn't have any trouble using his cell phone out there.

Hi All! We're in the very beginning stages of planning a trip to the Fort May 11 - 16! We need to drive down the 10th in order to use all 5 days on the tickets we plan to purchase. We're only about 7 hours from WDW, but I don't want to get up and drive, set up camp and do parks in the same day... I'm a wimp! My hubby says we could stop somewhere on I95 and drive in to the Fort - 2 questions: 1) can we park in the lot at FW and go to the parks the morning of the 11th? and 2) does anyone know of a place to camp on I95 between the GA line and WDW?

Yes, you can check-in whenever you arrive, though the earlier it is the less likely your site will be ready. However, when you check in you will get your KTTW card and parking pass so that you can park in the overflow lot and hop a bus, or drive to the parks. BTW, I don't blame you about trying to drive, setup and hit the parks... it's way too much for me, afterall, I'm on VACATION, right?

As for CGs between GA and FW I can recommend one to avoid: Osprey (formerly Vance's). It's got awful bathhouses and is $35 a night! Even with shower shoes I couldn't bring myself to use it... I wouldn't want my towel to touch any of the surfaces in there -- I guess I could have held it in one hand while I lathered with the other!

I thought that was why there is a shower in the MH so you don't have to use the one at the campground.

I believe for the drive down and back, the shower was a storage compartment.

My wife tries that but since I pull a 12' enclosed trailer that doesn't happen.

Wow! Good memory! Yes, the EZ-Up tent and a Christmas tree (et al) were in the shower. Not that that really matters! I'm 6'2" and 300lbs so my miniature shower is an emergency only solution!
