We went just about every night of our trip too! Drinking all the way. 
If things aren't happening at Pleasure Island we'll try the bars at some of the restaurants in DD then head back to the Adventurers Club. No matter what time we get back to our room we are up early for whichever park is next on the list. Come back early afternoon for a nap and a dip in the pool then do it all over again.
But I have to say our Oct. '03 trip, we spent a few nights at the ESPN club at the Boardwalk watching the Red Sox in the playoffs. Disappointing outcome that year BUT NOT LAST YEAR! WOO HOO!
Sorry 'bout that, anyway....I think it all depends on how quickly you recover the next morning. Everyone is different.
