Here's an official USMC link 26th MEU .

All of the names I shared are members of the Force Recon Detachment.

In my emails from my friend, he said they are 7 hours ahead of us, somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea. Last week they were in 15 ft seas and he almost got thrown out of bed.

He called his parents this weekend, couldn't say much except that he is doing ok and wants Twizzlers!

I've let him know that his platoon will all be receiving mail. He said they only get mail about every 3 weeks. So hopefully they will get LOTS with their next delivery.

Since I did not hear back from you, I will wait and see if I get a response back from the Operation Adopt A Soldier website. They appear to be swamped with families that want to help. I wish I had tried sooner, but had tried a couple of weeks ago via the "Dear Abby" site and it discouraged the sending of packages or letters to Any Soldier.

My girls finished writing their letters and packing a care package last night. I will add a letter to Andrew that I have NOT read any of these first and they should understand they are coming from well intentioned girls - but they are still 7th grade girls! This based on some of the conversations I dropped in on as they were working.

Anyway, will be shipping in the next day or so and hope they'll get it without too much delay.
