We are doing a split stay there this summer 5 nights each. We are new to DVC....have stayed twice at SSR for a total of 13 and 3 nights at BWV. So we don't have a lot of DVC under our belts yet. We originally had 7 nights booked at BCV with two weekend nights and then I decided to split the time and get more days at Disney by staying at OKW with a 3 day trip inbetween to St. Pete. That is what allowed us to do more week days. Anyway......

1. Do you like both resorts enough to stay again?

2. Do you prefer one over the other?

3. Is 5 nights at each ENOUGH? LOL

4. Would you have done less a OKW and more at BCV?

5. Does OKW balance out the trip since BCW seems to be busier?

6. If I add on another weekend night (have one now) would you add it to OKW or BCV?? There is only a difference of 2 points. Thanks for any tips.

I love OKW, so I'm probably not as open minded on that question. I tend to not like long hallways and hotel type DVC accommodations, so for me, OKW or SSR are the answers to that problem. BCV will be VERY close to Epcot, and that is the big plus there. Some prefer the pool there also...that makes no difference to me.

I enjoy them both but prefer BCV. We enjoy the pools, the proximity to many restaurants, and the ability to order room service if we need it. The short walk to Epcot is wonderful as is the short drive or boat ride to DHS. Some also walk there although we've not done that. We enjoy the sand beach and are looking forward to seeing movies there. Didn't do that last Fall.

The halls really aren't that long.;) There are two sets of elevators so no villa is too far from one or the other.

The living room and kitchen at OKW are much roomier though if that matters much to you. We don't use the kitchen ornament so the kitchen at BCV is fine for us. The larger living room would be nice but all the other factors make BCV our favorite.

But is it really only 2 points difference?

Finally, an extra night would be great at OKW or BCV.

To stay a weekend night at BCV is 75 and OKW is 73 so really to add another night at either is about the same. OKW is 30 during the week and 40 at BCV.

1. Do you like both resorts enough to stay again? I like OKW and love BCV, so yes, I would stay there again.

2. Do you prefer one over the other? I guess the first one answered that, BCV is our favourite resort:love:

3. Is 5 nights at each ENOUGH? LOL We go for 10 or 14 days and I don't think that enough;) :lmao:

4. Would you have done less a OKW and more at BCV? Definitely!

5. Does OKW balance out the trip since BCW seems to be busier? I find OKW is less busy, so a little bit more relaxed. However, I would prefer the location of BCV.

6. If I add on another weekend night (have one now) would you add it to OKW or BCV?? I guess you know what I'll say...definitely BCV!There is only a difference of 2 points. Thanks for any tips

I think it depends on what you would prefer. You should decide based on what you want to do...based on location, amenities and convenience. I find the rooms themselves are comparable, however OKW is slightly larger (based on my only stay- dedicated 2 bedroom).

I had no idea the point cost was so close on weekends. Thanks. Boy, weekends are really expensive at OKW relatively speaking, aren't they?

I forgot to say that we don't find BCV busier than OKW in the least. The hotel area is bustling but BCV is like a quiet retreat from that area while all those amenities are steps away.

Well I ended up changing things up and taking out St. Pete altogether. LOL So now we are at OKW for 7 nights followed by 6 at BCV....all on points except the Friday and Sat. at OKW July 25th and 26th.... I got those with a cash ressie....397.50 each night with DVC discount. :thumbsup2 That allowed us to better fit our points and stretch this out at WDW. :cool1:
