I copied and pasted these from an email I received today:

  • Return transportation will be available throughout the afternoon and up until just before regular park closing time, excluding ticketed holiday events.

  • The Walt Disney World® Resort ticket with Park Hopper® option will include three FastPass+ selections that can be used at most attractions with the exception of Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey in Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. You do not need to make FastPass+ selections in advance.

Very disappointed that they are excluding the new Pandora rides. We do not have an option to FP them in a traditional manner.

MNSSHP will not be covered by ship transportation.

I thought that last year ships ran until just after park closing, not before.

Hope hours change for our cruise. (Nov 4th) Right now they have Mk closing at 9pm with Happily Ever After at that time. I really think they will extend as that week is NJ week and the crowds are usually pretty high then.

I'm not really surprised by this considering what I've been reading about wait times for these new attractions. I think I'm going to try to get on the first bus out to Animal Kingdom on our WDW day.

You are correct that the buses ran after park closing. On our cruise the parks were not open late during our WDW day, and we were back onboard in time for second seating dinner because we go frequently and because we were tired.

That's actually really disappointing! I understand why they would do that (crowd control or whatever), but I would still like to know exact times for when we need to be on the bus, heading back to the hotel (I know they'll probably tell us on the ship the day of).

We were hoping to be able to catch Happily Ever After. I emailed DCL and got a useless response (return times will be provided the night before). Not helpful when I've been stalking the WDW site to get dessert party reservations. I'm going to see if my TA can get confirmation on ability to stay for HEA (our WDW day is not a MNSSHP day).

I'm still hoping that Rivers of Light eventually appears on the calendar of events. Then again, will the bus leave late enough to have time to see it?

It sucks about the pandora rides. The restriction should of been one of the fast passes you could either get flight of passage or the river ride not both. But having them both blocked out really sucks. Doesn't effect me I'm not on the cruise just throwing out my 2 cents.

I'm on the Nov 4th sailing and while Im not surprised we can't use the FP system for both rides I am a little pissed that we dont get the ability to FP one and do standby for the other.

Good info; thanks, everyone. Does anyone remember a thread where they stated that on the bus ride from the ship to WDW, they were able to add their FP+s to their MDX and get 3 more FP+s? I don't know if that is really possible, but just wondering. Also wondering if we should bother trying to link a Magic Band as well. We have so many, wouldn't hurt to try, I guess, just wondering what anyone else thinks?

FWIW, even regular FP+ users can only use one FP+/day in Pandora - they are tiered so that you cannot use 2 in a day...at least pre-booked.

I read somewhere recently that unlike last year when we received paper tickets that could be linked to MDE app this year you park ticket and fast pass will be linked to your cruise KTTW card. Don't know if it true and haven't seen anything official from DCL but speculation was this would keep you from linking to MDE and making FP in advance through the app.

Yes, the VIP Fast Passes are now loaded onto your KTTW card (like the admission ticket). You cannot put your KTTW admission ticket on MDE. And, if you get FP+ on an already existing ticket, you must use that ticket to enter the park to activate the FP+. If you use an already existing ticket to enter the park, you can't use the VIP FPs on your KTTW card.

And that all makes sense, but, I was just at WDW last week and I did not see any mechanisms at the FP attractions for scanning a card. They seemed all geared for the magic bands.

They do scan the cards too. We just had cards for MVMCP last year, no magic bands, and they scanned our cards for FP+.
