Can you give me any idea about their prices? I'm assuming that they are going to be more than what I could book myself on the WDW website because they will act as a concierge, right?

I'm asking because I'm waiting on a quote from them, but I really want to go ahead and book if I'm not going to use them. We want a family suite at ASMu and I want to book it before they are all snatched up!

Thanks!

I booked my package through Disney on Sunday over the phone. I am now going to turn my package over to DU to handle. The initial price wasn't that much different ($11) cheaper through DU but I don't have the knowledge or time to look for codes, etc. So this will be our third trip and the first time we go with DU. I have been talking to Carolyn...here is her email address if you are interested carolyn@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com
Good luck

Their pricing will be like WDW's. But you get the added benefits of them looking for codes, etc.

on Monday booked through DU and the quote was exactly as the Disney online website.

I just need them to monitor for any discounts and set up my adr's.

I have AAA but despite calling and e-mailing local office did not receive a quote.

Take Care

Ive always used DU and their prices seem to be the same as if I booked on my own. It was just easier and more convienent to have them do it for me. Plus they booked all my ADRs and they have always set up special things for me at my request. I like being able to think of what I want, let someone know, and sit back to let them do it for me.

If you use DU, do they have to book your ADRs? I'm a bit of a control freak and would like to do that myself, if possible. But then, I like the idea of them looking out for discounts and codes for me.

We have booked through DU andthe price was exactly the same as through Disney direct. You can book as little or as much through them as you want. My DU agent made my ADRs for me but I could have easily done them myself if I wanted to.

You can book your own ADR's. Then just let your agent know and they can add it to your itin.

I believe travel agencies generally get paid by the resorts or airlines they book you on/in. The customer doesn't pay for their services. Prices should be the same as if you made the reservation yourself.

OT: Hey Stacerita, I've noticed you got tagged from the Wedding Dress thread on the CB :rotfl: I love it!! Never did get to post a picture of me in my dress

Back on topic: We're also thinking of going with DU mostly b/c they will keep a look out for those codes. Now that just sparked a question. We have the Disney Visa Card. If we get emailed another great deal like we did last year, will DU also get it and let us know if we book through them?

How often does DU find codes for the middle of summer? I like the idea of someone checking on things for me, but I really don't like the idea of never being able to see a real person. At least with AAA the office is in my town and I can go down and speak with here if I need to do so.
If there aren't any codes for the middle of summer, I would prefer to do it on my own.
Thanks for the help.

I've already booked through Disney. So now I can use that same reservation and let DU go to work? I figured I would have to cancel my ressie and start over. Who do you make your payments to then, Disney or DU? That's probably a dumb question, but I've always just booked things myself. I like the idea of them helping me with ADRs and codes because this is my first time at planning a WDW trip and I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed!:scared1:

I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and going with DU for my January trip. I've got some family issues I'm dealing with right now that need my focus, so I can't be as dilligent looking for discounts (of which I qualify for many, provided they make them available). So far, I've been impressed, but we'll see how it goes when the code feeding frenzy begins. I'm right at budget with rack rate, so I'm hoping they can save me some money (which, of course, will go toward another trip!).

Update: They have already applied the AAA discount to my reservation (which was a better discount than I anticipated). I'm still hoping for an even better AP or resident discount, but so far, so good.

OK, I got my quote this morning and it is the same as what I already have booked directly through Disney.

So now, tell me the good, the bad and the ugly about using Dreams Unlimited. I really don't know much about it other than they look for discounts and will help with ADRs. Is the price I pay for the vacation really all I pay or do I end up paying DU something at some point?

How about airfare? Will they help me find a cheap flight?

You don't pay Dreams anything extra for booking with them. They don't do anything with airfare.

The only time we were able to get an ADR for Breakfast at Cinderellas Royal Table was when DU made them for us. We were very pleased with the service.

We wholeheartedly endorse DU. Dealing with them online is no problem for us. We are experienced travelers and don't need the in-person experience.
They are pleasant, thorough and will go the extra mile to get you everything you need including looking for codes, etc. Trust me, I am an obsessive planner and once I decide on dates, where I want to stay, I turn it all over to DU and let their expertise guide us. Hope this helps!
