For those of you who switch resorts mid-trip...

Here's the deal: My husband and I are staying at the Beach Club from October 25-29th and will then be meeting up with my family at All Star Music. This reservation (All Star Music) is under my mom's name and they will already be there (arriving the 27th)!

How do we go about switching hotels with our luggage?

Also...I'm really worried-because they will already be established in their rooms (2 rooms)-that we will not be placed anywhere near them (since we will make three rooms in the reservation)...we would so like to be side-by-side as it is a family trip. Any suggestions on how to do this??

Thanks so much!!

DH and I are going to WDW in May and spending 4 nights at POR and then swtiching to AKL for the last 6 nights of our trip. We've never switched resorts so this is all new to us. :) We are driving to WDW, so we plan on brining our bags over ourselves. The day we switch, we plan on waking up, checking out, then heading straight over the AKL. I'm not sure what time we would be able to get our room at AKL.

Thanks!
Each time we've switched resorts, we've really lucked out and we HAVE been able to get right into our room. Generally on the "switching resorts" day, we just hang out at the new hotel, swim, explore the resort, shop there .. that sort of thing.

We like to switch resorts halfway through our stay. We usually stay at a resort hotel (Poly or GF usually) and then switch to a DVC "home away from home" resort. Usually BWV. We get a kitchen, washer and dryer etc. which we are always ready for! Eating some meals in and washing all the dirty clothes! Plus, you get more space, it's just a totally different experience. We usually plan which parks we are going to based on where we are staying. for example, if we are moving over to BWV the last part of the trip, thats when we go to Epcot and MGM. We have never had a problem moving. Good Luck!
