For those of you who love Palo.... Would I regret not going there on my first cruise?

since I've never eaten any of the meals on DCL is it a good or bad idea to skip Palo the first time around (Alaska cruise)?

The food at the MDRs is good, but Palo is better. I wouldn't skip it.

We love Palo and never miss it. But that's a personal decision. We also love the MDR and enjoy all those experiences. If you do nothing else consider going to the Palo bar for a drink. It is small and lovely, you get to see the dining area and the bartenders are great.

Do you need a reservation to go to the Palo bar? Given that we will probably go out after dinner each night and send the kids to the kids club, I'm not itching for a kid free dinner if we will have other opportunities for date time. Maybe stopping by the bar would be a good way to check it out!

The only thing I know of that is the "Palo Bar" is called Meridian and is on the Dream and the Fantasy. It's NOT *in* Palo - it's between Remy and Palo. And anyone 18+ can go there.
