How often do you go?
How long do you go for?

I live in SK Canada and therefore attempt to go every 2 years or so (I'd love to go more often, but seeing as we are hoping to have kids soon, it will probably end up being longer :(

I'm wondering if this is average or if some people fly there more often?

Once or possibly twice per year; lately we've been visiting for 4-6 days.

We usually have cheap flights from Philadelphia using Southwest or Airtran.

We usually vacation at least twice a year. DH won't go to FL so I usually take the kids and then he and I do something on our own. I live in southern NH and can usually get inexpensive flights. Trips range from 6 days to 3 weeks.

We're in UT ~ we visited WDW for the 1st time earlier this month. I could see us going every other year maybe. We love DLR ~ the only thing S. CA is missing IMO is Epcot - San Diego has the zoo & Wild Animal Park (*Animal Kingdom ~ just missing Expedtion Everest which was great fun). We fly to DLR (though we could drive, I'm sure some day we will) ~ but it's at least 1/2 the cost to fly to FL. We'll visit DLR for a couple days early Dec. and that'll be our 4th visit this year! Also we can do DLR in 3 days (this includes travel time) and feel like that's plenty of time ~ WDW (and we'll visit Universal next time) takes much longer ~ increasing the cost and time away from school & work.

Adding ~ Weather! It was awful earlier this month, I can handle heat (we get near 100 all July/August) but I hate humidity ~ S. CA has a much better climate. When we visit WDW again it'll be winter/early spring time. I'd rather do Disney in a sweater/jacket.

We're in the NYC area. I didn't go between 1990 and 2006, when I had to continue my pattern (went when I was 4, 8, and 16, and that was 32). We went back in August, which wasn't planned too far in advance. We're going back November, 2010... and we're already talking about getting there in October-November 2012. We have to miss MNSSHP next year, which my 7 year old is rather upset about, so we're already thinking about going back for our next trip. We want to get to MNSSHP when she's still little enough to enjoy trick or treating in costume.

I can't go in 2011 due to an annual professional 4 day meeting that I really have to attend at least once every three years. Talk about a party!

I'm trying to get there every year now. I have been staying 14 nights the last two trips and have another 14 nights booked for next year.

I fly out of Seattle as it's much cheaper.

Usually once per year, but twice in 2009. Our 'usual' trip is in March for from 8 to 11 days, but we'll probably be going for 5 - 6 days during Food&Wine for the forseeable future, ever since they closed the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Warehouse, WDW lost a lot of it's appeal. We usually catch a 'cheap' AirTran flight out of PHL but we've also flown JetBlue out of Newark and my son and his GF used SW out of PHL once.

Twice we went for 2 weeks in the summer and 1 week at new year. Now we go once a year for 3 weeks.

Flying from Portland Oregon, usually once or twice a year for 7 or 8 days at a time.
(Just bought an AP and it just might have to be 3 trips this year!!!)

We fly from the UK to the USA for a vacation every year, we stay from anywhere between 10 days and 3 weeks.

Live on Long Island NY.

Typically go 1 or 2 times per year. Staying between 9-11 days usually. Since we own DVC and use points instead of cash, frequency and duration all depend upon where we are staying, what type of room and what time of year we are going.

Flying from England every 2 years and usually stay for 2 weeks but intend to stay for 3 weeks next time.

slightly :offtopic: but you look like the people to ask this so please forgive me...define a good price for airfair...i've been looking so we can fly, DH says if we are spending this much on vacay then we can splurge on flying, but I can't see spending $270 per person round trip when it is a 9-11 or so hour drive. Any ideas on good price from Atlanta to MCO?

Because we have to fly down we made the decision to go for longer trips to WDW and only once every 3 years or so. The way I see it, the plane and park tickets are pretty much fixed (the price of park tix goes up only incrementally after about 4-5 days) so you are just paying for hotel and food, which can be as expensive or cheap as you want it to be. The last trip we went 7 days but didn't really feel relaxed at the end, so this time we are going for 10 days.

We fly Jetblue out of Boston and fares are about $300 per person round trip with all the fees. Driving would probably take us 2-3 days so I think it is worth it.

We live in New Mexico, never cheap airline tickets to anywhere! So we go once every 12-18 months, always stay at least a week, sometimes 10 days. We're closer to Disneyland, went once and it just wasn't what we were looking for, love the feel of WDW being so removed from the real world. The older your kids(to be!:)) are the harder to find time to go, so go as often as you can when they are young and have flexible schedules.

This is our first trip to Disney from Minnesota. Round trip non-stop flights with Northwest Airlines is $210 per person through Expedia. That includes the $50 total discount by using the Expedia Mastercard...waaayy cheaper than driving for us and more sane considering we have a 4 year old and it'll be winter when we go! So about $630 for 3 tickets...I think that's very reasonable. Vegas costs us around $300.

I'm going to move this over to our transportation board. The folks over there may have some great ideas to find great fares for you.
