My son had it from 10/24 to 10/30 (when no more symptoms). First he had a cough, temp of up to 102.9, vomited a couple times, and his arms, legs, and belly hurt-all in less than an hour. At the ER he went into shakes and was cold, though he was burning up. On day 4, his chest was hurting and he was coughing up plegm and I took him to the dr again but his chest was clear. They said his chest was clear and it was probably from coughing. Pneumonia is something that can develop from H1N1, so important to have that symptom checked. He was fatigued most of the week and slept 12-13 hours at night, get up for tylenol, back to sleep until lunch, up for tylenol, drink, & food... Do not take cough medicine without dr approval, b/c with my son I was told not to take any cough medicine b/c it was good stuff was coughing up, it doesn't need to settle. We were told to give him 3tsp (63lbs) of tylenol or motrin every 4 hours and lots of liquids. We also bought 2 humidifiers and a junkload of paper products & eating utensils, clorox, masks, oust, hand sanitizer. Thankfully, by Saturday (Halloween) he was his normal hyper self. I kept him out of school the entire week as you are contagious 5-7 days with or WITHOUT a fever.
I didn't go the dr, but I'm pretty sure I had a mild case from taking care of ds. I ran a low fever, congestion, body aches like a truck ran over me while I got beat with sticks, and was very tired for a few days.
If that ain't enough, that Wed, my dd had a bad sore throat, fever of 101.9, light hurting eyes and I was like not again (similar symptoms)! She had tonsilitis and was given antibiotics, told she wasn't contagious 24 hrs after taking antibiotics and strep test was neg. Kept her out of school Thurs & Fri. Sat she was fine and played soccer, then went trunk or treating. She was eating outside with her friends and out of nowhere (TMI-gross here.......) starting projectile throwing up A LOT of green plegm. She was fine after that, but I wonder tonsilitis was all she had.
Whatever it is, I hope you feel better soon! I would get checked out as a precaution.
