How are they for storage...as far as clothes, stuff like that. Also, did you like your experience or would you have preferred two rooms at like a value/moderate. Would love to hear your experiences and anything else you can tell me about them. We have been to the campground 2X but with our travel trailer and we love FW! Thanks so much!

We had plenty of clothes storage if I remember right.(its been 3 years) I would pick the cabin over 2 rooms at a value any day, and to me thats all the new suites at AS is, 2 connecting rooms. I have never stayed at a moderate so couldnt answer that one except to say I cant see it being any nicer.except for the pool situation. We love the cabin though so were biased. We will be there in 11 days!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth: The grill, and picnic table ,your own front porch, bunk beads, DISHWASHER, :goodvibes ,stove and fridge, chip and dale, outdoor movies, boat to magic kingdom, the only thing missing is peacocks!!!!!! :sad2:

Plenty of storage space. We would do the cabins again anytime if we couldn't camp. Our DS's won't let us stay in a hotel. Camp or cabins those are our choices :goodvibes .Don't forget at a cabin you don't have kids running past your room making noise. It's just the great outdoors.

We loved the cabins. There was a closet in the bedroom, and drawer space.
We did get a golf cart, and I'm glad we did since our cabin was farther away than a premium site would be. It was nice having our own cabin and not being in a room right next to someone else. The kids could play around more and go out on the deck. We did not worry about them disturbing our neighbors, and we also did not hear everything going on next door like we would in a regular room. We have stayed at other resorts at Disney, and this was the only time we had towel animals!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cabins! Along with the closet there are a couple of dressers. We are a family of six and had plenty of room. They are comfy and homey--we could have spent a week there and never had to go anywhere else. The only thing that I would wish for (once in a while) was an extra bathroom. But all the other amenities far outweigh that one item.

We enjoyed the extra space, but felt the lack of "Disney charm" lessend the trip....PS, as Cabins are priced in the Mod category...ssshhh don't tell anybody.... we went to the Wilderness Lodge Pool!

ohiotony shame on you :rotfl2: you know that will get you flamed on these boards!!!! i personally dont think its an issue, how much of the vacation is actually spent in the pool anyway. Maybe us ohioans think alike. GO BUCKS!
only 10 days till we're at the fort! :cool1:

I love the cabins too but disagree about storage space. There is a closet so if you hang up your clothes there is more space but the drawers in the bedroom are very small and we have trouble fitting our clothes in them. Since we drive, this time (just got back an hour ago and cant stay off the DIS!) :goodvibes DD and I took our clothes in one of the long plastic bins that you can slide under your bed. Fit perfect in the car and under the bed. It was a big help.

AS for how we like the cabins? We wont stay anywhere else now.

Thanks for the tip about the bins. What a great idea!

We've done both...and loved the cabins, but there were 6 of us ..plus and infant, I think we ended up leaving a lot of things in the van.

I'm glad to read such nice comments about the cabins. We'll be there in 13 days. :woohoo: There will also be 6 of us there.

I have a question, since there might be some limited space has anyone done there laundry there in order to save room? If so how did that work out?

There is a small nightstand and a 4 or 5 (shallow) drawer dresser in the bedroom, and a closet. The dresser measures maybe 2 feet wide? In the living room there are two cabinets underneath the windows and then in the kitchen, right next to the living room TV there is a long pantry closet that if you aren't going to have a lot of food you could use for clothing storage. I love the idea about the under bed bins if you are driving, heck, even if you had to go to Walmart and grab them it would still be worth the convenience for a longer stay. On our first trip to the cabins we didn't have anyone sleeping in the top bunk so we stacked a lot of our pants/shorts and misc stuff up there. I think they could really improve on the storage in the cabins by adding some permanant under bed storage, that would be really nice in most of the resorts, come to think of it!

We did laundry on our last stay at the cabins midway thru (11 nt trip) and it was difficult, but I will say that it was probably because the laundry/pool area nearest to the cabins was closed at the time (this was in Feb 2005). If you were staying in a loop close to the pool area then it wouldn't be too much of a chore to roll a suitcase of laundry down there. We had to have someone drop us off in the campground loops and use theirs, and then they had to pick us up later since there is no parking.
