I have another question! Last year we arrived before marathon weekend, and we were able to see a lot of the decorations before they were taken down (Oh I can't wait to see the tree at AKV when we arrive!)- last year we arrived just one day too late to see the lights on the castle. Last year the last night was the sunday after new years. Assuming that is the same this year, I'd like to try to see that- and it's our arrival day, the sunday after new years.
Because of our schedule, I wasn't planning on doing parks the first 5 days of our trip (vow renewal happening) and with it being such a long trip, I don't want to start my tickets that early- and if I were to buy the ticket for just one day, it's 80 bucks just to see the lights! Is that worth it? Do they do anything special when they turn them on so you'd want to be in the park to see it? I'm also wondering if it's the last night there, if there is anything going on at the other parks I might want to try to see as well- is there a schedule somewhere for this yet?
Also I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place I might be able to see them well, but not go in the parks? I was thinking maybe there is a good restaurant I could make ressies at that night- I'm assuming the contemporay would have the best view? Do any of them pipe in wishes music? I've not done anything like that yet!
Thank you for your advice!!
