Just curious - were you already booked or just thinking about it. I wonder if by booking I messed up. I was getting emails from Disney (not pins) about special offers after I had called earlier and spoke to an agent. After I booked, they stopped.

OT - "got the pin" sounds like a disease!!! One that I want!!!!!

I booked in early June and when I heard about the pin, I called Disney to see if I had one. They just adjusted to price to my original ressie. I've never gotten anything from WDW via email and the last pin postcard arrived the day before the end of booking time.

Goodness how I love these boards. Every code or pin I've heard about so far has been announced on the DIS first!

In all the years we've been going to WDW I have never received a PIN or any other kind of discount from a postcard or an email. They have my email address and send other things, but never a discount . . .if I ever receive one, I"ll probably faint . . .

I know the feeling. I received postcards (many) a long time ago but since we've been making regular trips to FL I haven't heard a "peep" about a PIN in my name. Maybe I need to call and ask.

I think that is giving Disney's system waaay too much credit. I think it is just completely random. Ive never gotten one either.

By the way, we had a trip planned for late August and had to cancel at the last moment. Its too bad Disney didnt try to entice us back with a code....

I received a pin # in my email Thursday. We already had reservations for October. But we have the Disney Visa, I had ordered those free maps from Disney, also had updated my info on the website. I don't know if that helps or not.

We got the pin yesterday, and are fortunate to have gone to WDW many times over the years. We do not usually stay on property since we exchange into timeshares. This is the first code we have received too. I called today and what they offered us were POR and Caribbean for moderates ( I did not request value rates) 3 of us for 4 nights in Nov for $580.total. Sounds good but we were able to trade into a 3 bdrm timeshare for $164., so we passed on the Disney resort.
I'm not sure what prompts the pin codes either.

We've had several pins over the last two years and we have never received an email or postcard showing an pin code#.:confused3

I already had a reservation, so I was very suprised that I got a pin. But hey it saved me $60, so I'm happy they sent it.

Now if only they would release an AP rate that is even better, then I would be really happy!

What makes no since is my mom got a pin code and she doesn't care to go to DW. We've been there 2 times and to Disneyland 1 time and have never received a pin code. :confused3

I have been booked for a few months now and just got my first pin in an email a few days ago. I was able to apply it to my room only ressie and saved $88 over my AAA discount. What's good about that is we hadn't even bought a AAA mebership yet, so in my mind, we saved about $140!!

I really do think the pins are totally random.:)
