What is the lowest airfare to MCO you have gotten? And what airline was that on? The last time we flew to MCO was June 2002 and the price was $866 for all 5 of us on Delta. I would prefer to fly out of Duluth, but with NWA being the only carrier low fares are rare. Just curious because I don't seem to be getting fares like that. I know with fuel prices and all cheap fares may be a thing of the past, but I keep reading about $39 each way and wondered it I would see anything like that.

Last June, we paid about $812 for 4 of us on Sun Country. I think it was just under $203 all taxes and fees included. My opinion is that anything around $200 or lower, you grab it. With the fares higher now, it is going to be tough to get good prices. Be very diligent about watching for sales and be ready to buy if you see something you can live with.

My lowest fare ever was $134.89 per person, and for 10 people. THat was in 04 when Sun Country was running a buy 2 get third free deal. We also caught the fares at their lowest peak, ever! We got very lucky.

I think the last time we flew, for two of us, our total on Sun Country was under $350. That was last August.
I know we've also gone as low as $840 for five of us. I believe I booked for Jan. 04- about nine months ahead of time. I think that was also Sun Country.
Just keep trying.
I'm hoping for the five of us to go for $1000 or less. It's a goal.
Good luck, we're all waiting.

Last December we paid $140 rt on NWA. Acouple of years ago we got $99 on AA. That is our best so far and we always go in december. Usally we get our tickets in August or September. :pug:

I just booked May 13-24, AirTran (Ghetto Airlines) for 4 @ $207 (includes tax & fees) each. I wanted to wait to see if prices would drop, but was afraid they may go up as well. No turning back now.

This is our first trip to WDW. My DH is thrilled. We're also going to the beach for 5-6 nights. I have been lurking here and reading for a couple of weeks now. Someone else described it best--This board is a WDW think tank!

We booked at the end of Dec. for end of June-beginning of July on AirTran for $202.60 per person. Everything else was hovering around $270-300. I sawe rates drop for some carriers about a week ago but now prices are back up. Watch and wait...that's what we did.

As per May06orbust's comment that AirTran is a "ghetto airline"...we flew them in 2002 and had no issues and were on clean nice planes.

In April '04 we paid $197 rt on NWA...Last year we were lucky enough to have enough miles for 2 rt tickets, but this year the Award Travel for one ticket is the same as we paid for 2 last year!! CRAZY! So I've seen $211-257 rt for this September...not too bad.
