We always drive, but we have a 31 foot motorhome.....so everything tends to fit

We always drive. Going to WDW is a snap but coming home is a different story after we visit DD. We always have to bring something back for all the family and grandkids but that's part of the fun of being grandparents.

<font color=navy>Lol, it wouldn't be the trip to WDW that I'd worry about with my little RAV4 - it's our camping trips where I have to carefully pack all our stuff.

We recently traded in our monster mini-van for a smaller SUV, and DH is already threatening to have a "pack the truck" drill before our trip in November. I'm not worried about the drive down. Coming home, on the other hand....

Practice luggage drills? That is too funny! I think we will have to, though... we bought a VW Beetle, and we have never been down in that small of a car... so we will be "seeing if it will fit" this week!

No practice luggage drills, but you would be amazed at what I can fit in the trunk of my Echo!

Only me and DH, no need to practice. I know it will all fit. (HAVE YOU SEEN THE TRUNK SPACE IN VW JETTA'S???!!!) We only carry two suitcases and a carry on bag anyway. Works out wonderfully!!

Love, love, LOVE my Jetta!!! It's astonishing what you can fit in the trunk of one! We've taken our family of 4 on countless trips to WDW in one and fill that trunk full with giant suitcases, coolers, strollers, pillows, and much more.

We finally broke down and bought a minivan a few weeks ago thoug, and there's no way we're going to be able to fit as much in the back of it as we can fit in the trunk of my Jetta. Oops, that would be DH's Jetta now! We're either going to have to learn to pack much, much lighter or fold the 3rd row bench seat down for our trips.

I think we'll be doing the luggage drill in the new minivan prior to our next trip. Funny how I never had to worry about that with my VW, but I will with a minivan.

LOL! Well, it sure did make DH happy!

Since I'm the one that usually plays chauffeur to the kids and all their friends, I got the minivan. It's nice to have the extra seating room, but I do miss my Jetta. Although, the BEST part of the minivan is I can separate the 2 kids and put one in the middle row and one in the back row. It makes for a much more peaceful ride!!! ROFLOL!

We always drive to WDW. Our Suburban fits everything we need, but I have to do the arranging. Otherwise, the cooler with drinks and snacks will be underneath the four suitcases!

We have the extended version of our mini van so it gives us a little extra room, but we always manage to fill it. We have driven so many times that we know which suitcases will fit and my DH is an expert packer.....he can fit more into the space in the van than I ever thought possible. Good thing he can b/c every year we come home with more thatn we bring!

Last year myself, DH, 2 DSs, and DM were scheduled to fly 2 weeks after 9/11. About a week before the trip we made the decision to drive. We have a CRV. So, once we made the decision I packed up all our suitcases in the car, drove over to my mothers house, took her suitcases out of the house and stacked them in the car too. This year its just the 4 of us because Dm and 2 neices are flying and meeting us, so Im not too worried this time. If we did it with 5, we can do it with 4.
