Meh... doesn't effect me one way or the other... after all, It's JUST AI...

theSurlyMermaid said:For pete's sake, if you are going to crumple into a ball and cry with devastation at the meanies on the big bad ole Internet and what they are saying about you, here's some free advice: Stay off AI. See how easy that was? The stuff being written about Ayla (or Type A-lya, which is her nickname on some other boards) pales mightily in comparison to the stuff being written about, say, Kevin. Or Mandisa. Or pretty much ANYONE on the show, whether or not they were even voted though.
Aw, the poor girl who is lovely, smart, talented and going away on a basketball scholarship is getting nasty comments from strangers which can pretty much be easily attributed to jealousy. Cry me a river.![]()

KittieKat said:haha. I wanted her to fail, not to be mean, but truly she needed to learn that she can't succeed at everything.

Yes, going on a reality TV show certainly is not for everyone but why does that mean she, or anyone else for that matter, should expect criticism? I just find it really hard to completely bash a kid. Her "snotty" attitude that some saw may have been nothing more than her uneasiness with the whole situation. You can say, well stay off AI but what a wonderful learning experience this has been for her and others, why forgo it? She is a bright, pretty and extremely talented young lady with loads of self confidence and for her, I think the best is yet to come. Congrats to her and her parents for raising such a motivated young woman![]()

Sure, it's mean and I'm sure she is level-headed enough to know what's behind it. I just don't get why everyone here is so sure she's absolutely devastated.Disney1fan2002 said:Criticism on her singing is one thing, but the name calling and bashing her because she lives on "easy street" is mean and spiteful.

theSurlyMermaid said:Yes, I AM serious. And please note, I never said anywhere Ayla couldn't handle the criticism...I'm sure she's just fine. It's just so many of YOU seem convinced she's at home crying in a heap somewhere. Please. Any 17 year old I know would be far more devastated by being called a "kid" than being voted off a reality singing show.

Aren't the OP, Spam, and KittieKat sisters and teens themselves? This is the last thing I would have expected to see from 2 wonderful members here - hating on their own peers. That's really sad.
