Waited 2 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. The shuttle ride may have been 4 minuteas at the most. Once at Payless it took me maybe 5 minutes at the counter (no line) and I was driving away. No high pressure to upgrade or get the insurance or anything else. Here is the kicker... very clean low milage Nissan Sentra for a full 8 day rental $102.41. No that is not a misprint. People seem to hate to use the out of terminal rental places but you can't beat this place. From picking up my bags to driving away was a total of 11 minutes. I wated in line at Alamo for longer than that before. Oh yeah and did I mention the price? $102.41. Just checking;)

Jan 7-15, 2003, a very slack time of year at WDW. Had a Payless car for Sat. eve. through tne next Sun. afternoon, 8 days, $101.39 including all the taxes and fees.

No problems whatsoever, about a 15 minute wait, except I showed up mid-afternoon and they would not give me the car until the time I reserved which was 8 PM. (They did offer a car at a higher price for immediate pickup!). I chose to wait and about 15 minutes later the line at the counter grew to about an hour's wait. Then I went away and came back in the evening to get my car with no further problems.

Another time Payless did give me a car several hours in advance of reserved time with no problems there or anywhere else.

Yet another trip planned to WDW, over Thanksgiving, reserved a Payless car for 8 days for about $176.00 including everything.

Longest wait for a rental car: Dollar in Hilo, HI, about 2 hours, forget the date.
Longest wait at an airport security checkpoint, Logan in Boston, a Saturday, Nov. 2001, about 2 hours.

From the Payless rental agency, you can continue west (not recommended 4-6 PM weekdays) towards WDW, about a mile later getting back on the Bee Line (528) to I-4, total toll 50 cents each way. (On the way back get off the Bee Line at Exit 9 Tradesport, cross under, and fill up there.)

Glad to hear you had a good experience. I still prefer Hertz and the off site location. Never had any problems.
