Hi I just got back from Archivers and they have in the 1.99 hot spot/ bins these really nice spiral bound books they have 35 pages of really nice card stock. You can easily remove all the paper and run it through the printer with your autograph pages. You could decorate the cover with stickers etc.. I just wanted to pass that along. the pages are 6x8. Oh they also have some really cool villian stickers in the 1.99 bin. I can post a photo of the book if anybody wants

For those of you that do not have an Archivers Joann has these on their web site they are a little more but seem to be on sale often. They also have free shipping if you spend $35 most of the time

:offtopic: thanks now if i could find a cheap way to print at home without going through so much ink , i would be happy. I printed about 12 and my ink is starting to look faded already. I guess i will only be printing my top priority ones,

Nevermind ~ I found them, I was searching Archiver ~ but when I searched for spiral it came up ~ they're on sale for $5.59, maybe I will buy them from Archiver's anyways.

I've looked all over Joann.com and I can't find it! The nearest Archiver store is 2 hrs. away, I did call and they do have them but they'll charge $8 to ship items! How did you find them at Joann.com?

TIA

Quick ? ~ how do you print on this size paper? Does your printer automatically know what size paper is being used and make the adjustments?

I am about 4 hours from the nearest Archivers and 2 from Joanns, but the type of journal you are talking sounds like exactly what I am looking for. I want pages I can print on and a hard cover that is more than just laminated paper or cardstock.

I am so excited about this I registered rather than continue to lurk. Posting a pic would be awesome!

I love the super colorful pages but decided I am going to use the simplier ones to save on ink.

You need to modify the page setup on your autograph book

I'll get a photo posted tonight Promise. If there is any local craft shop you might want to check and see if they have anything similiar

Here is sample page. Special thanks to k_fawver for the design. Note I just printed the image from the file mgr so the margins are a little messed up.

Was this in response to my ?

If so I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Just wanted to say Thank You :thumbsup2 to the OP for posting this! I've been looking all over town for a 6X6 or 8X8 book for my kids autographs....Ran to our closest Archivers today and got them. Of course, I couldn't leave without $20 in "other necessities" :rotfl:

I appreciate the picture. Is there something different about the spiral binding of the Archivers one, or do you just unwind the spiral binding of any hard sided journal, print your pages, and then wind it back on again?

I am debating asking a friend in Louisville to try and run by Archivers for me, but if I can do it with any spiral bound journal, I don't want to bother her.

Well I think you would be ok, take a look at the back of the book and see how its constructed. This one you dont have to unwind you just kind of slide the two covers off and then you slide the paper off (I bought 2 figure I would possibly consolidate them into one book). Its almost like it has latch. In looking at a spiral bound book I liked the hard covers because it gives the characters something firm to sign on, the paper is acid free so I can scrap the signatures with a photo when we get back (Of course it wil be 5 years before I get that done but its a plan), and in all honesty the book was cheap in price and I could assemble and re-assemble it.

Now the con is the book is heavier than just regular printer paper but my kids were never going to carry them anyways so I figure I will just deal with it.

If you are not planning on scrapping them I would probably just go to Office Max or something like that and have them print them and bind them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Sounds like exactly what I want. I think it maybe time to find out how much my friend loves me :)

Thanks so much for the help!
