escorts? And if so, how far from campus do they go? The ones at VCU go a whole mile away from campus and run from 5 in the afternoon until 7 in the morning which means that I can get a ride home when I'm done in the computer lab. I love it.

I'm not currently in college, but we did have those when I was there (it wasn't too long ago). They also ran at night to help people get home and I'm not quite sure how far they went out (several miles at least). I know many of my friends liked to use them and depending on the distance, they'd either walk you to your destination (if it was only a few blocks) or they'd drive you.

I don't attend college, but I work on a college campus - and no, our campus doesn't have anything like that at all.

I'm not sure how far they will go, but I know for sure that they will do whatever they need to do to get you to your destination safe. We have a ton of those big white lights with call boxes ALL over the campus! Every year the students do a walk around the campus at night to determine which area's of the campus are not as well lit as they need to be and they put another call box/light there.
