For those of you following the Natalee Holloway case

All along, I've been thinking he killed her accidentally, called his dad and they disposed of her body. This and the piece of duct tape they found (if proven to be her hair) could put a new twist on the case. If the duct tape/hair is proven to be Natalee's, could that end the theory of it being an accidental death?

My next question is...would he have really gone back to a nightclub after just killing a girl (if these new witnesses are credible)?

I'm beginning to wonder if there could be some truth to the slavery/prostitution theory and that Natalee could possibly still be alive somewhere. Any thoughts?

The slavery angle was the FIRST thing I thought of when this story came out. I still have that as a gut feeling but there are too many arguments that make sense against it.

While the situation is sad, it is hardly the type of news that deserves so much coverage on TV news. There are so many other more important issues that should be discussed on the TV news shows.

Go start your own thread!
:sad2:

I've been following the case and I kind of feel like she must be dead by now. The last I had seen was that they were draining the pond. I hope that they find out what happened to her. I didn't get to watch this morning!

When will the results come back from the hair on the duct tape......

FOX NEWS has pretty much devoted all its evening programming to the story. How about some special interest stories on the people killed by the London bombing. Or time devoted to the thousands of kids dying in Africa?

The only reason this story has so much time on the news programs is that Natalie was/is young, blond and pretty. (What if she was overweight, plain looking and black?)

Let's keep the topic to what it is. I have been following this case everynight on Fox news and I would like to keep this thread on the topic not a debate!

Try changing the channel. I don't watch Fox News - never have and never will. I can tell you that the News programs I do watch aren't filled with this case and they most certainly are covering a variety of local, national and international issues. The most coverage I've seen as been on MSNBC but not on the networks. I won't comment on her looks helping boost this story.

I do think those boys know exactly what happened. If that father had anything to do with this he should rot in hell. Did he stop and think that someone could do something like this to his child and he'd have to live with not knowing.

I started this thread for those who have been following this case. If you are tired of hearing about it, then you shouldn't have read the thread in the first place, much less comment about the coverage.

Does Natalee deserve to have her story all over the news? You betcha! So would my daughters if it were them. You better believe that if this happened to my children or any of my loved ones, you'd see my face plastered all over the Tv, b/c I'd make d*** sure the story was kept alive until it was solved!

Anyway, I read a little more on http://scaredmonkeys.com/ last night. I didn't know that they had found a shallow grave in the sand. They're guessing that it's a possibility that Natalee was buried there and then moved a few days after her disappearance. I just really hope they find her soon, for her family's sake.

I think the boy's father knows what happened. He's a judge and he publicly stated that without a body, they couldn't convict his son. If his son was innocent, why would he make that comment?

I don't think they found any real evidence at the site, but Tim Miller really thinks that Natalee was initially buried at the site, then moved at a later time. He suspects perhaps that's where Joran's daddy comes in. Maybe he hired someone to move the body? I know after the fact, they did not place 24 surveillance on the boys (hard to believe eh?), so it's theoretically possible that they could have moved her if she indeed was buried at that location, but it really makes more sense to get someone else to do it.

Personally I think she was fed to the sharks. I've heard that there is an area on the island where they do a lot of dumping to keep the sharks fed so that they don't go near the areas where the tourists are. If that's indeed true, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think that at least Paul Van Der Sloot knew of this location.

I'm just hoping they find something that can tie the 3 to a murder and that it's enough to get one of the 3 to crack. The sad thing is, in Aruba, there is no such thing as a plea bargain, so they can't give Satish (who I believe played a lesser role) a deal to get him to talk.

I believe in the US the plea bargain is overused, but it certainly does offer alternatives when you have nothing else.

and if the boys were indeed innocent, why lie from the get go? If I were innocent, I'd want to do all I could to help Natalee's parents find her.

OMG!! You are the worst insitgator on these boards!

Scaredmonkeys.com is reporting that the duct tape/hair does NOT belong to Natalee. Not only is it frustrating in regards to Natalee, but it raises questions as to who it really does belong to, and what happened to that person.

Good grief why is it taking so freaking long to drain the pond? What are they draining it with? A ladle?

Now I'm just wondering if the duct tape was found at the same spot as the shallow grave. They thought maybe Natalee was buried in the shallow grave then moved a few days later. If the duct tape was found near that grave, then that blows their theory.

They think the duct tape is from a local surfer that tapes his long hair down before surfing. Bizarre? Yes the entire case is bizarre.

Yes, everything about this case is bizarre. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for her family.

They're showing a police helicopter with a search light over the pond now on Fox. Maybe Greta will have some news.

:sad2: Unless there is a miracle, I don't hold out much hope of poor Natalee being found alive.

Fox is reporting two creditable witnesses claimed the night Natalee disappeared they saw 3 men in a white pick up loading a large blk garbage bag in truck. Supposedly these men drove to the landfill and dumped the bag, covering it with a child's pool. They are searching the pond and landfill and have found the child's pool. The witnesses did not come forward earlier due to being frightened of getting involved.

It's not looking too good, but at least the family would have some closure if they found her, either way.

They never found the girl who disappeared from the cruise ship several years ago. I read on her website that her family still believes she's alive after all these years. That has to be so hard.
