What percentage of Wyndham Bonnet Creek guests are:

1) Owners at WBC?
2) Wyndham Access owners?
3) Owners at another Wyndham resort who used their points for WBC?
4) Owners at another resort who traded in through RCI?
5) None of the above

We've owned timeshares for nearly 20 years, and I've hardly ever come upon a situation in which there are more non-timeshare owners at a resort than timeshare owners. But I'm thinking I may see that this October during our stay at WBC. BTW, we own at Wyndham Smokey Mountains, and used Wyndham points for WBC.

I'm certainly not in the know, but I always feel like most of the guests here are renters.

This is why we now go down the road to Reunion Resort.

I am staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for the first time this June. There are 3 ways I can get into the resort:

- trade my timeshare week through RCI
- pay for an RCI extra vacation
- trade my family's Wyndham points

This time we used Wyndham points and traded internally through Wyndham.

.

I have been staying at Time Share Resorts for the last 20 years. Mostly Marriott properties with my family.

In my 3 trips to BC, it is my observation that at least 50% of the guests are renters and not owners. Subtle ways the guests act give that impression. There just seems to be a lack of respect from many of the guests, treating it like a hotel, not a property they own.

just my opinion.

We also own at Wyndham Smokey Mountains but we always use our points to stay at Bonnet Creek when we go to Disney. I am starting to re-think this for our trip next summer though. We do love Bonnet Creek and have been there several times, but we may check out Cypress Palms instead. We haven't been to Bonnet Creek in 3 years but after scouring these boards lately, it seems to be very popular right now and I think we may be disappointed when we return by the sheer business of it and some of the negative stuff that comes with being that busy.

I have to admit; I'd have no way of telling one from the other. I'm also not at all convinced that owners in general take any more care of their unit than any other guests.

I don't know about percentages but it seems to be pretty common knowledge that WBC has a higher percent of renters than about any other timeshare. We have talked to several resort staff members about this on random occasions. Honestly I believe that is the reasoning behind this new "shuttle fee" I mean if it was really about the cost of running the shuttles why is it being charged to those not using the shuttle? Why are WBC owners not being charged the fee even if they use the shuttle. I believe that wyhdam figured if they weren't getting enough renters to buy into the timeshare, so they found a way to make more profit from these renters. Why else is this the only wyhdam resort with this fee?

While I don't know the percentages, I have never met anyone that actually owns at BC when I stay there.

Also, the fee for transportation actually has nothing to do with Wyndham. The owners association decided to start this. Wyndham usually is in charge of it when a resort first starts but they are no longer in charge of BC.

We are going to be there for Halloween, we have a Timeshare in Stowe, VT but traded out for the week at this resort. It'll be my first time there, I'm excited.
