For the First Time in Forever...we finally get to go back!! a pre trip report

Tomorrow is our big birthday at WDW again. The boys are turning six and eight years old somehow.. Crazy!

I wish I'd read this while I was there! Sorry, I forgot it was the big birthday. Me and Izzy could have met up with you! Oh, well....next time! Hope all your guys had a happy birthday! (and such big boys now!)

We hit up the Old Navy clearance before our trip too! There were definitely some Disney things to be found.

I THINK a one-night stay should be okay for the ADRs, but don't quote me on that.

Love, love, love that pic of Caden on the Carousel! I'm sure he'll be obsessed with the one at Disney! We could hardly walk by the thin without Harper wanting to ride it! He looks like such a little boy now... crazy how fast they grow up.

Hi...I'll definitely be following along. We are taking our 2-year-old (who will be 31 months when we travel) for her first trip in September. I am excited to hear more about your planning! I think this age is perfect for a first trip. Lots of fun times ahead.

I feel like it's been all of a sudden that he looks like a kid! But I kind of love it! We're having SUCH a fun summer! I love this age (I've told you that about every age I'm sure! lol)

And LOL ok. Our dates are all up in the air right now anyway so I'm not even sure what we're planning to do. We're going in Jan for sure. Just not sure when in Jan :-(

I'm sure he's going to love that one too! At least I'm guranteed 1 ride he will love. haha. I just panicked to andrew the other day "what if he HATES it??? Oh No!! What if all the rides scare him and he doesn't want to meet any characters and he just cries the whole time!?!" (Like that would happen...it's Disney World! And *USUALLY* I have a very happy and compliant child...unless his routine is messed up.... )

Most definitely! I have been trying to track down all of the trip reports with two or three-year-olds in tow to get some tips myself!!

Fast update:
On a whim I decided to measure Caden today and he is RIGHT at 38 inches!!!! Whohoo!!! Mine train here we come!!
Only 2 more inches til soarin! What are the chances he'll grow 2 inches in 6 months? I hope! I hope! I hope!

I didn't know that you were a music teacher/director. That is so cool. My son Ben has done over a dozen shows in the past few years and I joined him on stage for a musical this past spring. I don't sing well, but I was a pirate and was told by the director that pirates don't have to sing well. Done.

Loved the Little Mermaid costumes and all of the costume ideas for Disney and the shoes.

Awesome birthday ideas for a Disney theme. The letters were great, the cupcakes were incredible, loved all of the food and drink names. I did that sort of thing for the boys' birthdays (Star Wars and Harry Potter) and I am in charge for coming up with cute/clever concession names for the snacks at our shows.

And thanks for the compliments. I just love being crafty. I'm actually currently making Caden new bedding for his big boy room. I'll post pics when I'm done. Already made the quilt and a throw pillow and I'm halfway done with the curtain. Just waiting on the sheet fabric to come in so I can make those. Yep. Making sheets! It'll be my first time but the tutorials I've found look super easy. So here's hoping!

It was fun to do all that birthday stuff. I totally stole most of the food names from pintrest though! Haha! What shows do you have coming up?

Yeah I adore my job! I've seen posts of yours talking about Ben being in shows. It's great that he enjoys it! What show did you do with him this spring?

What shows do you have coming up?

The show we did together was Night at the Wax Museum. Ben was Butch Cassidy and I was Madame Ching, a really bloodthirsty pirate. I got to threaten many cast members, including my son, with swords and knives. Dream role!

Our theatre group has done some big name shows (Bye Bye Birdie, Aristocats, Peter Pan) and Ben just did Music Man at his middle school. Next up for our group is Spamalot and I think the next middle school show is going to be Fiddler on the Roof. We have a really talented group of boys at the school who are interested in theatre which is refreshing.

Can't wait to see the reveal on the new décor for Caden's room!
