So It's been a while since I updated cause life just got CRAZY!!!
So here's my REALLY LONG update!
DISNEY ON ICE!
We went to Disney on Ice and it was lots of fun! Caden really enjoyed it!
He sat so well and watched the whole first half. Got a little bored during Lilo and Stitch (I think cause it was mostly humans and not characters)
I went to the
disney store the day before and got him a light up spin-y toy and I think that helped a lot! I also had some raisins that he snacked on during the show.
During the intermission I took him to the hallway and let him run and run and run. I think he thought he was getting away with something cause he just was laughing and giggling the whole time.
That wore him out enough that for the second half he just sat and didn't even play with his toys. He was exhausted! lol It was also past bedtime so that probably helped him chill out too.
All in all. a good show watching experience and we all enjoyed it!
MOVING!!!
Then a few days later we sat down and talked with my dad. we had been discussing the possibility of moving into his house (he lives with his GF and so his house is basically empty) and then we could empty and stage our house and try and sell it. And if we can sell our house by June, we will buy his house (for WAY under market value and way less than we would ever pay for a house this size!!). If we dont sell ours by june we will move back to our house and his goes on the market.
So that Monday after Disney on Ice we sat down with him and he said "ok your brother will be home from college on Saturday. We're moving then"

(Did I mention I was about to start tech week for my musical at work? And Andrew was going to be leaving town for a business trip the mon-wed after the weekend dad wanted us to move? and that I hadn't packed a thing yet??? yeahhhhh....)
So I taught class Mon night, prepped for classes on tuesday, taught on wednesday, packed thurs and friday and we freaking moved on Saturday. OMG!!
And then I had a week to finish preparing my musical at work, the following Saturday we had a huge rehearsal with costumes and everything and then that Sunday and Monday we spent the day at our old house, cleaning the yard, doing repairs, and Monday the real estate agent came over, I signed a bunch of papers (no time to read them...andrew did it after I left) and then ran to the theater to have my first tech rehearsal.

LITTLE MERMAID JR!!!
I had a week of evening tech rehearsals and then the show was that Fri and Saturday. We did Little Mermaid Jr. And now you get some pics!
Aren't the mermaid tails cool? And I made flounder's costume! Yep!
And our Ursula was AWESOME!! I also made her costume out of a goodwill prom dress and dyed/painted the eels costumes!
So the show went well. STLMickeyMom even came to see it!!

(thanks for coming!

)
AND Andrew brought Caden and he sat through the whole show (about 1.5 hrs including intermission) So I guess I don't need to worry about Caden sitting through shows at Disney World! lol
And then we had spring break....and I pretty much didn't leave my couch! lol
I'm tired again just writing all that out!!
BUT WAIT!! I have more!!!
BIRTHDAY!!!
Caden's b-day is April 18th so over spring break I finally started some party prep. Just doing a small party with our parents and siblings (about 16 people total including us) and I was just gonna do a cake and some decorated plates. This year is gonna be Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed cause Caden is all about Mickey! Well we went to the party store and I got the giant mickey dinner plates and when the lady was checking me out Caden noticed the plates and his eyes got huge and i'm pretty sure he audibly gasped and he was just so excited about the plates. Well it flipped a switch and FORGET THE SMALL EASY PARTY!!!!! So I went back on pintrest and found my "Caden's 2nd birthday" board and decided to actually do some of the projects I had pinned. So first up was a name decoration! I'm super proud of it and had a blast working on it
I also used photoshop to design cupcake toppers
I'll print them on card stock and then glue them to toothpicks! And a while back I found this clubhouse bank

And I got it on ebay for pretty cheap so I'm going to use that as a centerpiece and put the cupcakes all around it. I think it'll be pretty cute!
So now I'm all super excited about his mickey party and it's gonna be adorable! Lol
TRIP PREP!!!!
I made the first step for the trip! I applied for and got accepted for the southwest visa. I've been waiting on it cause I didn't want to screw up any credit or something in case our house sold and we started on the buying process for my dad's house. But I checked our credit and it's GOOD!!!!! like WAY good. SO i decided we'd be ok opening a credit card. So i got online and the 50,000 point offer was OVER!!!! I almost cried. then I decided to google it, found a link for the 50,000 point offer and applied through that link. So cross your fingers it works!!! I got approved and so now we just have to charge $2,000 in the next 3 months. I'm just gonna use it to pay bills I think.
So (hopefully) flights are now mostly taken care of. AND with the extra hours I put in at work during tech week I have saved about 1/4 of the money we need for the trip! WOOHOO!!!
It's starting to feel like a real possibility!!
And now after this epic long post...I will sign off!
