FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER...I'm NOT GOING HOME!! UPDATE DEC.30 PG 74

June 14-16

I worked a lot this week but had a couple reprieves! Sean and I had a photo shoot with one of his photographer friends :goodvibes

Sean was not happy with the pictures so this was the only one I saw :rotfl2: He is so picky when it comes to pictures!

The week also brought the beginning of the rain

It now rains almost every day here around 3 which is usually the time I'm beginning my walk to the bus stop then work :(

My roommates and I were also fortunate to go to a concert at House of Blues! Sean was asked by one of his friends to photograph their band so he got 5 free tickets and took us!

His pictures turned out awesome from the shoot! It was very cool seeing him at work!

Sunday was Father's Day and after skyping with my parents and watching my dad open his mini Millenium Falcon lego set I headed to Downtown Disney. This weekend was the Car Masters so I really wanted to check it out!

It's a huge car show at DTD and the cars were very cool!

Mike!!!

I had to get one of the shirts because I am collecting shirts from all of the cool stuff I get to do!

Another cool car

They had skee ball set up for the kids with Airplanes prizes!

I thought this was very beautiful

They also had the stars of the Cars movies out for people to take photos with!

and the topiaries which I am sure everyone is familiar with by now since you can see them at F&G

I had stopped by Starbucks so I just roamed around with my coffee. It was a bit busy but still made for a relaxing morning!

I love this van!

You could vote for which cars you liked and there was an awards ceremony that night.

There were all kinds of cars not just old ones like I'm used to seeing at car shows.

This car would have had my vote! I really want it!

This one is a little too over the top for me!

It was a very fun day and if you are ever in town for this event I definitely recommend checking it out! I never knew about this event so I am very glad I found out about it and was able to go.

wow that rain was really coming down. Definitely would think 3pm is not the best time to have to walk outside everyday in Florida summers

The car show looks fun and definitely something cool to kinda just roam around and take your time and relax a bit

Catching up... again!

Always falling behind. A shame I never did stop you that day in DHS or saw you again thereafter on my trip (If I didn't mention this before, I'm goofy_disnerd on Instagram). Oh well. I'm glad to hear your program is going great so far! I find it so funny how you have been using most of your DCP to travel off-property. But I guess with spending basically every day in the parks, you need a break some times.

Cars Masters Weekend looks really cool! I'm not a car person, but those are some snazzy looking rides. I love the Mike Wazowski car too. :thumbsup2

Hope you're still having a lovely time on your DCP and have made it over to check out the Frozen Summer Fun at DHS! Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I really like that pic of you and Sean. Very cute.
Of course the Detroit girl would have to spend Father's Day at a car show. It's a Motor City tradition!

I'm enjoying reading about the unique things you get to do. It must be nice to experience something new when you don't have to limit you time like you do when you're on vacation.

Aquatic looks pretty cool. I love the pictures. I think its great to try new places and it sounds like you are getting to do that all the time.

I also really enjoyed the car show in DTD. There were so many amazing cars. That purple Subaru bus was really cute. Who knew? It looks like it should be a VW bus.

Very nice picture of you and Sean. Sorry he didn't love all the other ones. Sounds like you need a do-over.

I love the car:car::car: show! I didn't know they had such a thing, very cool! I feel like I'm going to learn a lot from your experience!

Those afternoon storms are downpours...I haven't been to Florida in the summer, so I can't say I have experienced it. I love the pictures from Car Masters...I especially love the rat rod picture.

have enjoyed your past TRs but especially love reading about your recent journey as a CM - a "belated" congrats! :goodvibes

living vicariously thru your words/photos - you are truly blessed to be living out your dream in WDW!

also your photos are amazing!!

You will have quite the T-shirt wardrobe when you finish your program. It is amazing how much there is to do at Disney World, and around Disney World. It's so cool that you are getting to experience so much of it!

Us photographers can be pretty picky. I was tasked with finding a photographer for our wedding and there were a lot that were lacking in quality. We can see their style and aesthetic by what they have on their site, but when we interviewed them I would ask about their gear and editing workflow. :lmao:

Love the pictures from the cars show, and of your new Vera bags. I'm so glad you are enjoying your time as a CP, I'm sure this is a dream job for you.:)

Hi! I'm joining in! I found your TR from nilla's TR and I love it! Belated congrats on joining the CP. I'm loving hearing about everything you get to do so far! My family and I will be at WDW in September and we'll have to look for you at Nemo and Turtle Talk!

I'm looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!

It always is!

No it's not! I hate that I am always scheduled around the downpours!

One of my friends was sent to costuming because his costume was too wet the other day!

You should have!

There have been a few hiccups but I'm enjoying it!

I can't get Sean in to the parks for free and he has more free passes than I do.

I haven't because I'm going in August with my mom and want it to be a surprise!

I really like that pic of you and Sean. Very cute.

Thank you!

Truth!

Yikes, that's some serious rain! :scared1: Very cool cars!

It doesn't just rain it pours here all the time!

I thought so too!

I'm enjoying reading about the unique things you get to do. It must be nice to experience something new when you don't have to limit you time like you do when you're on vacation.

I agree! That's also why I don't go to the parks a ton because I know they will always be there!

Looks like you are having a blast and working hard!!!

I am!

It's pretty bad!

It was very cool to see!

Sounds just like Sean :rotfl2:

There are many different opportunities or places that I would like to work my experiences on the DCP has definitely opened my eyes to a new world!

Keep an eye out and don't be too shy to say hi!

Thank you!

If you aren't scheduled to work, I can foresee you and your gang dressing up and going to Dapper Day!

June 17 and 20

June 17

Today was a super busy day for me! It was my roommate Leah's birthday so all of the roommates were going to 1900 Park Fare to celebrate!

I talked to the chef about my allergy and my own special plate of waffles came out!

I only ate one and one gummy worm though!

I had on my Queen of Hearts shirt so had to get a pic with the Mad Hatter!

Another picture of some gluten free goodness!

and I also saw Tigger!

He tried coming back to our table and "talking" to us about me but we had no idea what he was saying :rotfl: I think he may have hit the bottle a little too hard that morning!

After breakfast Sean came to pick me up and agreed to take a photo shoot of all of us girls.

We got some very cute pictures!

Next on my agenda was another DISmeet! I was going to meet TheWrightFamily aka Angela! She hasn't been on the DISboards in a long time but she was one of the first people we started talking to when we began TR writing!

We met up outside of the Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios and just talked for a bit and remembered to take a picture!

It was great getting to meet her!

That night Sean took me to a lake near his house and it was gorgeous!

I am in love with Florida sunsets! They really aren't like any other sunsets anywhere!

June 20

Today I didn't have to work until 530 so I decided I should go to a park! I decided to go to MK since I hadn't spent a lot of time there!

I went to the Poly for breakfast before the park opened and it was a little bit of a hassle. I asked the chef if there were gluten free bagles for the bagel sandwiches and she said no. I was fine with it and decided to get something else then hurry out but she insisted on checking out different freezers for some. While I appreciated this you all know how important rope drop can be especially in the summer! I got my bagel and some kona coffee and ate it up and hit the monorail!

I got to the park in time for the opening show but I was outside of the gate! I still tried to get to the mine train but the line was way too long! Between that and Ana and Elsa the lines in Fantasyland are crazy in the morning!

I decided to just get my FPs for the day then head to a ride. I would have been able to get an Ana and Elsa FP but it was for night time and I had to work. I decided on BTMRR, Space Mountain and Buzz!

My first ride of the day ended up being

There is some proof even if it's blurry!

I then crossed the sidewalk to ride IASW. I know... I know.. Today I was super homesick so decided that riding rides that reminded me of my family would help! So this one was for my mom!

I texted my mom "I'm pretty sure I am the only person who ever cried on It's a Small World that wasn't in pain"

I also decided to take a closer look at the Rapunzel area

on my way to my favorite

Aaahh always feels like home!

Then backtracked to NFL

Hello handsome!

This was for my grandma

Yep gotta visit the sea witch! :lmao:

My first FP time had arrived and this was for my dad

Buzz is his favorite character!

Then walked back across the park

Thank you Walt for creating this world!

I wanted to ride Pirates but a tour group was getting there just as I was and I was like um no :rotfl2: So I headed to Country Bear Jamboree because it was hot and well there!

It was cute and fun to watch and killed time until my next FP!

There was a man with his sons behind me and he was screaming throughout the entire ride! It was so funny! I was laughing the entire time!

I then passed by Rapunzels area again

These are the prettiest bathrooms ever!

I was headed here

I hadn't had a chance to see this in a while so of course I had to!

It was now time for my last FP before I headed out!

I went on Space Mountain without much of a wait but something bad happened on it. I didn't find out until a few days late but I lost my Maingate Pass on this ride :worried: I am still waiting for my new one to arrive and have only been to the parks one day since I lost it.

Anyway before the sneak peek and reason as to why there won't be a lot of Disney updates coming soon  I grabbed a sandwich at the Contempo Cafe and headed back to my apartment!

Overall it was a great day! I do love getting to go to the parks solo because I get to go at my own pace! The only person who can keep up with me is my mom so if I can't have her going solo is a good alternative!
