Just caught up on all of this! Loving all your Star Wars updates! SWW look like so much fun. I really need to watch some of the films because it totally seems like something I would enjoy (I already have a minor obsession with another George Lucas creation).

You must be having the best time ever now that your DCP has officially started! I can't wait to find out what your park and attraction finally is. I hope you got The Great Movie Ride host like you had wished for!

So I want to apologize for being so incredibly busy and not updating recently! The pictures from Sunday are taking forever to load so I will update that day as soon as it's available.

I am going to be busy for the next couple days though so I wanted to end the misery and let you all know where I will be working!

I will be working at Nemo and Turtle Talk with Crush! I wanted to build up to it in the TR since I didn't find out until Tuesday but with my crazy work schedule already I knew it would be a while so I wanted something to tide you all over until then!

I am extremely excited about my placement and I truly believe it is the perfect place!

Yay! How long will you be a CM? I hope we run into you on our next trip!

Great parade pics! I'd have loved to have seen it but the timing was off for us and I don't see it being on Jeff's list of fun things to do in Sept! In fact, were it not for the Mine Train, he'd skip MK.

I'm normally a lurker and read trip reports without posting, but just wanted to pipe in and say how much I enjoy reading your trip reports! I've been out of college for almost 10 years now (I have no idea where the time has gone!!) and regret everyday that I didn't do the college program. I am disney obsessed, and like you, go to disney every year with my family. I hope you have the time of your life doing the program!

I've admired your pictures greatly, and am now looking into the Sony Nex5 myself, I need to prepare for my October trip this year! Do you find the kit lens (16-50mm) meets most of your needs? I'm assuming that a lot of your pictures were taken with that lens, with the exception of the really close ups. How do you feel about the external flash?

I love Turtle Talk! The first time we saw it Ellie was 5. When they asked if anyone had questions she raised her hand super fast and waved it around. The CM came to her first and asked her question. She said "Ummmmm" and they tried to prompt her. Crush asked where her parents were and made me stand up, then cracked a joke that I wish I could remember.

This time we got to see the entire Opening Show and they blew up part of a building!

I guess he was really looking for R2D2 and dad told him I had gotten one. After talking to him and finding out what a nerd he was I agreed to meet up with him later ad give him my R2D2.

My daughter is now wanting to add something to her already "going to med school in New York so she can perform on Broadway while doing it" plan...working at Disney in the college program...and she's only 10!

Sounds like you have the perfect mind set for the job and will have a great time doing it!

It meets most of my needs but the zoom lens is much better for the safari and fireworks. I don't really use the flash that much unless it is in a dark area. I tend to just go with normal lighting.

Sunday May 18th

After lunch we had a show on our schedule



This show was all about the new cartoon series coming out called Star Wars Rebels.



At the beginning of the show some Storm Troopers came out and Ashley Eckstein used the force to get rid of them!



She is too cute!

Only one person from the new show was here today and I can't really remember her name but she seemed like a cool person. When she came out on stage she pulled this hat out of a bag and talked about how one of the fans had given it to her that day



Her character is an alien and has the hair(?) like that.



We got to watch a sneak peek of the show at the end the characters from it came out





and spray painted the stage



It was a cute show but not nearly as good as the James Arnold Taylor one!

Once we were done finding more about joining the rebel alliance it was dad's autograph time!



I had him get Ashley Eckstein and he told her how much I love her clothing line. She was so sweet and when dad mentioned he was here to see me off to my College Program she asked me to join them for a picture. For some reason it didn't upload but it was very cool and a special moment!



We then headed back to the room for a bit so we could freshen up and take naps. When we got back to the park we watched a bit of the Star Wars Family Feud before heading to dinner.





It was a cute show and of course the family won!

We were having dinner at Hollywood and Vine tonight so we headed that way and didn't have to wait long until we were taking pictures with Chip and Dale as Ewoks and being seated!



The restaurant was somewhat decorated for Star Wars Weekends



It was another character dining experience and this time it was with the Fab Five in their Star Wars gear!









The desserts were Star Wars themed too!







During dessert Donald came by again and stole my Darth Vader popcorn bucket/purse!



I told him he couldn't run away with my wallet so he poured out the contents on the table and took it

This was my reaction to getting it back



Once we were full we headed out to the Feel the Force VIP fireworks seating. I grabbed a Darkside before I headed over but little did I know I wouldn't need it!

It turns out with the free desserts







They also had free booze!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Disney finally incorporated free booze into the dessert party and the world rejoiced!

I had the Jedi Mind Trick which was pog juice with rum and some peach booze. It was soooo good!

We didn't have too long to wait until the fireworks started!



James Arnold Taylor was the host and introduced all of the characters to the stage

















Once everyone was introduced the show began!







I honestly wasn't that impressed! I'm not sure if it's because we had a horrible spot for the fireworks or what but it just wasn't good! I loved hearing the music and seeing the fireworks but that hat and stage were in the way. Regardless I enjoyed my beverages and danced all the way back to the room
