Ahhhh Flower and Garden. Most of my trips have been in the Spring, so Epcot just looks weird to me when it's not Flower and Garden season.

Just found this and love it! I wish I knew about the DCP maybe I would have gone to school earlier instead of after I was married and have 2 kids! I can't wait to read more about your adventure in the DCP!

sounds like a fun day! Glad you were able to eat most things at 'Ohana's (or at least, only needed slight modifications). I feel bad that you don't get the Bread Pudding but sounds like you were happy with your dessert

Flower and Garden EPCOT really is beautiful - love all the topiaries and the "pixie dust" was very neat!

GMR. Okay, it would probably be really nice if you got placed at the Great Movie Ride. I love that ride, although I agree it needs some TLC. My biggest pet peeve about it, though, is that the CM driving the vehicle is usually a HORRIBLE actor. It always surprises me that someone without acting ability is put into that role. Considering the insurmountable amount of talent at Disney, it is ironic that the non-acting CMs are often chosen.

Oh, and Lapu Lapu. mmmmmmmmmmmmm..................

I bet you are going to make a wonderful addition to the Disney family!

I last posted before you had left on your trip, and I see you are now up to page 31 and your first week isn't even over yet, and you're not yet checked in to the DCP! [Edited to add, I see from your Instagram posts today that you checked in today!] I can see where you will probably have to have a multi part TR, as I think the max number of posts in a TR is around 3000.

I don't recall seeing if you posted this already, but which are your favorites of the Star Wars movies? I know, from my personal experience, seeing A New Hope (Star Wars, to the uninitiated ) as a 9 year old in 1977, that that will always be my favorite, but I have heard from some younger people that they prefer the newer movies, with some actually (gasp!) liking Jar-Jar Binks!

I know! Considering we waited 45 minutes to an hour to see them on May the 4th this was nice!

I like Return of the Jedi and the Empire Strikes Back. I like the action and the Ewoks and Hoth I could never like the newer movies!

Friday May 16th The One Where I Up My DISmeet Count!

Good morning everyone! I am going to try and get this up to date before I start my busy work weekend!

Friday morning we were up bright and early to make it for our first SWW park opening! We succeeded in getting there before rope drop and I was sad to see that there were no Storm Troopers patrolling the top of the DHS walkway/gate area. I was really hoping to see that!

We had arrived a little bit late so everyone was at the park at this point and the Opening Show had already started. There were two Storm Troopers doing a skit about how they were looking for rebels for Darth Vader. A transmission came in and showed us a video of what all is available at SWW and yes I cried. I am not ashamed at all! Hearing the music and seeing all the fun I was about to have made me cry like it was MK rope drop It really is a cool opening and worth seeing.

Mom, dad and I ran to TSM since we couldn't get a FP+ for it with the Star Wars show we were doing tonight. We got on very quickly and..

I won and was best in car!!



I have discovered I do my best work when I'm like Han....Solo

After we were done we began walking around the park and I realized.. I didn't have a memory card in the camera!!! Luckily the camera dad got me for the DCP uses the same card so we put the memory card from that in the good picture and I was able to take pics!



I love that picture!



Our first FP+ was for Star Tours!



Because what's a Star Wars day without Star Tours?!

Our ride was fun and after we stepped off the ride we ran in to this guy



That short one in the middle is James Arnold Taylor who is the voice actor behind Obi Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series! It was cool seeing him because he is the host of SWW weekends!

We walked past the Main Stage and they had two Storm Troopers out and Han Solo in Carbonite!





They had a cute little skit as well! It was very cool hearing them talk and joke with the crowd!


We had a little bit of time to kill before we headed to our DISer breakfast so we went on TOT



My dad and I always love this ride!

Once we were done being sucked in to the Twilight Zone it was time to head to breakfast!

We were meeting the lovely MEK aka Mary Ellen and EandEsMom aka Cynthia! We had met MEK in November along with her husband Denny but this would be our first time meeting Cynthia! As soon as we saw them we began chatting! It's so easy to talk to fellow DISers!

We had to wait quite a while to be seated! We also couldn't understand a word these waitresses were saying which did not help at all! Soon enough we were ushered in and had our picture taken with Darth Vader and Bobba Fett! I was able to stand near Bobba Fett and put my arm through his and man did he have some biceps!!!! Yeah I am in love with a Bounty Hunter

When I had sufficiently drooled over Bobba Fett we headed inside and it was awesome! We saw the different characters walking around and the movie screen had Star Wars movies!! It was soooo cool!








I was fangirling out big time! Soon the Jawas came by and after I took a pic I began trading with them



I pulled out my big bag of pins and they began looking through them and handed me a plastic pig for the trade. The Jawas took a liking to me though and put a broken necklace around my neck and took another pin It was such a fun meet and greet!





Once they left it was time to begin our meal!



I love the Yoda shaped melon!

Greedo came by before our actual food came out and the chef came out to talk to me



The chef came out soon after this and told me I could mix and match whatever I wanted from the menu! I ended up with beef tenderloin, wild mushroom hash, spinach, tomato and scrambled egg whites!



It was delicious!

Dad was also apprehended during lunch



Mary Ellen was very sweet and made special gift bags for myself and my parents. They had a ton of cool stuff in them and were a great surprise! Thank you again Mary Ellen

When our bellies were full we chatted a bit more then headed out. Cynthia and Mary Ellen had another meet and we had some more exploring to do!We just meandered through the park and saw another Star Wars character on stage!
