"For the first time in forever, I'm getting what I'm dreaming of." Sept 2015 PTR

I wasn't impressed with the cupcakes, but LOVE skoolbread!

I need to stress that I like to be early for everything in life in general.

DHS sometimes opens 15 mins early, but 7:45 should still be a good time.

The 3:00 parade ends near the barbershop at the entrance to the park. It's about 3:30 before it gets there, so that would put you leaving the park at 4:00ish. I have not walked, but taking the resort monorail should get you there with time to spare for a 5:00 meal.

If you do a break at Pop, I would allow at least an hour (and maybe an hour and a half) to get to Chef Mickey.

I'm not sure about the bus/monorail starting times. I would suggest asking at the Pop guest services.

I'd say an hour an a half to Ft. Wilderness.

The Ohana dinner works the same as Chef Mickey. You'll just get off the monorail at a different hotel.

We've only done Winter Summerland...is that the name??? Anyways, it is in the same parking lot as Blizzard Beach. We took a bus from Pop to DHS and then DHS to Blizzard Beach

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me! I have written all this down, it helps me a lot!

I was not aware that DHS sometimes opens early, what time do you try to get there?

your to do list looks a lot like ours! you may not want to get the cinnamon roll and lefou's brew at the same time. we did and it was a sugar overload! ;) both are good, just very sugary!

transportation--I just always think to give it more time then you think. if you want to be somewhere by a certain time, give it at least an hour to an hour and a half.

Good to know about the cinnamon roll & the brew, thanks for the heads up!

Thank you, that's kind of what I was thinking, just wanted to explore that more to make sure.

Your to do list sounds great! I hope you are able to accomplish it all!

I think giving yourself an hour for transportation is good. If you stay for FOF, you definitely will still have enough time to get to Chef Mickey's for your ADR. I've never walked to the Contemporary, but the monorail gets you there pretty quickly! Same goes for getting to the Poly for your Ohana dinner. If you decide to take breaks back at the hotel before your dinners, I def think 1.5 hours is a nice cushion to get there in time.

As for your Ohana breakfast- yes take the bus to MK and then monorail to Poly. I would check with Pop to see about running times. Another option for that morning might be to take a cab so you can ensure you get there in time.

Thank you SO much for your feedback!

I will check with POP and see about running times and keep a cab in mind for Ohana BF, thank you!

Do you happen to know about getting from EPCOT to the Beach Club?

I've never done the trip between those 2. But I have heard it's a fairly short walk..maybe 10 minutes? It's probably faster to walk than take the boat if I had to guess.

Your to do list looks good! 1 hr is a good amount of time to get to most places. Some resorts will take 90 minutes. It always amazing me how long it takes to get around WDW!

All the movie night look fun! We have a little Stitch obsession over here too! I totally get it!

Hi there. Just joining in. Loving your report. We have an early September trip planned too. Our DD is 15 now so I'm loving the opportunity to reminisce our first few trips by reading your report. As far as leaving EPCOT to go to the Beach Club, yes absolutely walk. Just take the international gateway entrance/exit between France and the UK in World Showcase. It's a very quick walk to the back door of the Beach Club. When you transfer from MK to the Contemporary via the resort monorail it will be your first stop. The Poly is the third stop. The resort monorail moves in the opposite direction from the express monorail. You can also take a boat to the Poly from MK but it will stop at the GF first. If you have the time it is a nice ride. With all of your other transportation just keep in mind that it takes longer than you would think. If you allow 1.5 hours for anything involving a transportation transfer you should be fine. Also be aware that EPCOT & HS usually open 10-15 minutes early. Once you arrive at any park getting through bag check and to the gate can take a bit longer than you would think because lots of people are arriving at that time. How close do you want to be to the front of the turnstile? Just take all that into account. After your first day you'll get a feel for it.

I hope you guys have a fantastic time!!

DHS sometimes opens 15 mins early. We are at the Pop buses 1 hour before the time we want to be there. So if the park opens at 9 and we want to be there at 8:45 we are at the bus stop at 7:45. Of course we usually spend some time waiting outside of the gates. It doesn't take an hour to wait for a bus and get to dhs. I'm a little OCD about my Disney vacations.

Hi! Thank you for helping with the EPCOT to Beach Club walk!

Thank you for all your help and advice on the transportation, it really helps me a ton! I appreciate it!!

I definitely want to be there before opening so I will plan to be at the parks before opening and be fairly close to the front. I don't mind the waiting if there is a chance they may open early.

Finding Nemo FMN #53

So I have one of those apps that remind you of things that happened a year ago and so on. Well, the other day I got an alert and it was our very first movie night! I cannot believe it was a year ago that we started these. The time has passed by so fast, it is crazy!

In other news...we received our packet from our TA with all our paper work, luggage tags, and she also gave the kids a coloring book and autograph book, which was so sweet! The thing that got me so excited was all the information and tips that she included, it was unbelievable! My trip binder is now much thicker than it was.

Packing update...I've got the kids backpacks pretty much done.

I didn't do a whole lot for my son because I think he will be more into watching a movie on the tablet than anything else.

For my DD, I could have bought a ton more, but had to stop myself. She is my artist and writer, that's her preference over anything else. She actually begged me to get her a first grade workbook to do on the plane. We will probably hit the library too, so she can have a new book to read. She has become quite the little reader this summer.

Here is my bag, or really the kids 3rd bag ;) I will be adding a book in there for my plane entertainment, but I have a feeling I will be coloring with the kids and playing many rounds of UNO. My Disney binder will also be in there too.

I'm feeling less stressed as far as packing as the days get closer. I think we've finally purchased everything we needed to purchase (except my DH still needs to do his shopping). I started getting all the kids outfits in baggies (I have no idea how I am going to make them all fit in those tiny suitcases). I can't fully pack as the kids are still using some of their essentials. If I could, I would prefer to be 100% packed right now to give me time to worry about what I'm missing, but that will have to wait until the night before Disney, when let's be real, I'm not going to be sleeping anyways.

I'm not sure if I will be on to do another update before we leave or not, if not I will post a link to my TR when I get back.

Oh packing--it always stresses me out too! I'll always reach a point where I just break and figure "if we don't have it by now, we'll buy it when we get there or live without it!" I'd pack the whole house I think!

You look like you're good to go! I want a backpack full of colored pencils and markers!

I can't believe you've been doing movie nights for a year! We have one more to go and it keeps getting postponed. I really want to do it though--it's one of my favorite movies!

Oh we need a Finding Nemo night! That spread looks awesome! I am copying some of your ideas for packing too! We've got a 22 hour car ride (give or take) so we need lots and lots to keep us entertained. I am thinking we will try audio books as well! I am so excited to hear how your trip went, especially since its all new to us! Can't wait!!! Enjoy!!!

The backpacks for the kids look so cute!! Now I can't remember what day you leave but in case you don't make it back here, have AN AMAZING TIME!! So excited for you and can't wait for the TR!

Sorry for such a long delay, but we are back from our awesome trip and I can't wait to share it with you guys! But first our very last movie night.

Twas the night before Disney. I was planning on watching Fun and Fancy Free, but we just had so much stuff still to do that we just had the meal.

Here is the link to my TR if you'd like to follow along September 2015 TR
