For the Drink Around the World attendees...

With 11 Countries, one must wonder, Nancy, if you have any lactose-related illness after this 'drinking' event. :D

I think I would need 'pottys' to be very close-by.

And I think I would be swimming by the end of this meet. :earseek:

Maybe I could EAT MY WAY AROUND THE WORLD, while everyone else drank. :D

Nancy: this is great! I am not much of a drinker, but this will be fun to see!
Tia: don't worry, that are potty stops in alternate countries. My kids must have visited them all in alternate trips.

Tia - as a non-drinker who was part of DATW at Glo-Con - I did just fine with my carton of milk from the Patisserie in France and my virgin pina colada from the stand in Morocco!

Notice that the couple in the photographs have on two different outfits! Obviously - they did NOT drink around the world all in one day - unless perhaps they vomited on themselves and had to change! ;)

Pardon, Nancy ;)

Do you mean-- by your previous experience -- that the participants will be allowed to camp on the banks of WS and proceed drinking on the next day????

Do we have to take a day pack with clean clothes... just in case???

LOL you two! :D :D :D

Virgin Pina Coladas sound like fun!!! :bounce:

Here's the REAL story about SSB's first DATW in JULY: he didn't go to every country! Shocking, I know - but he (and those that followed) intentionally skipped France and Italy (countries known for wine much more than beer) and also Norway. They got as far as Mexico when Illuminations began, so never had a chance to drink in Canada! I believe they had beer in only 7 (at most) out of 11 countries!

DATW II is starting a little earlier on Nov. 30th than it did in July. The participants will have 3-1/2 hours to drink in 11 countries. Seems like a waste of money to me - but what do I know! ;)

Really shocking, Nancy!

Anyway, this time they will have 3 and a half hours. This means 210 minutes to drink at 11 countries, which comes to be around a drink each 20 minutes. This is doable (for drinkers, I mean), unless the participants mix beer with wine and other stuff (sake????). then straight to karaoke, hey?

very funny site ! I think they must be from oregon, because only people from oregon wear white socks with their Birkies !

Belle - thanks for figuring that out! With 20 minutes per country - perhaps there should be a tentative schedule so those joining the DATW after the Fantasmic dessert party can find the group. How does this sound:

6:00 United Kingdom
6:20 Canada
6:50 Mexico (allowing an extra 10 minutes for the longer walk)
7:10 Norway
7:30 China
7:50 Germany
8:10 Italy
8:30 American Adventure
8:50 Japan
9:10 Morocco
9:29 France (in case anyone wants some French beer before they close at 9:30!)

Those who exit Fantasmic at 8:00 and get right on the boat to Epcot should be able to find the rest of the group in either America or Japan.

Isn't this a small world after all???

I am going to leave South America to go to Fantasmic and then meet a group in Japan.:smooth:

So you are not counting on a stop at the Refreshment Outpost...

Hadn't even considered the Refreshment Outpost - because it's not a country! I think people will find it challenging enough to WALK (or stagger) to all 11 countries! ;)

Actually - this is SSB's baby - so it's up to him to set the pace. I won't be there until the tail end, so I'm just offering a few suggestions.

Are you going to Fantasmic too, Nancy? I am a part of the crowd that will be heading to Epcot after the Fantasmic Dessert Party. I was hoping to be able to get in Epcot in time for one margarita.

Livia - I will be at the Fantasmic dessert party on Thursday night. On the 30th - I'll be dining at Chefs de France, followed by the 8:15 Candlelight Processional program with my DH and in-laws. I'll be looking for the rest of the group shortly after 9 p.m. - between Japan and Morocco!

Hey Livia. I'm dong Fantasmic on Friday night....and although I don't consider myself a 'drinker', per se  , I do enjoy a marguarita from time to time. ;)

BelleMom and NancyIL, that you want to make certain that WE get to ALL of the countries, but you are only having one drink or milk.... HAHA!!!

Methinks that there is a plot afoot!!!!

HAHA!

Bob: Nancy is having milk. I am having ONE margarita. As I told before, I am not much of a drinker. With more than one margarita, I think you all would see me doing the rumba around WS, definitely a sight to remember. ;)

Remember, SSB - I'm NOT doing the DATW on 11/30! You MAY see me at the very end, after the Candlelight Processional program ends around 9 p.m.

It's just that I know how disappointed you were to not get to Canada during the first DATW in July! Livia and I are merely trying to be helpful! :D

If I were to have 11 drinks in 3 1/2 hours, you'd either be scraping me up off the concrete or pulling me away from the porcelain bus! :D :D :D (especially if I mixed beverages! urp! ) I'm with the light drinkers in the crowd. A glass or two or three of of anything is my limit these days. Now, if this were 25 years ago, I could drink you all under the table! ;) I'm with the Fantasmic group, so I hope to catch up with the crowd after that! :) :)
