For the DL fans: Fantasmic and MSEP

We try to take our own videos every trip, but they never turn out so great, so I'm always on the look out for good quality vids. WDWNTube seems to have pretty much everything.

I was just getting real excited about seeing Fantasmic! this coming Saturday night just before dinner when Marc asked if the work on ROA was completed earlier than expected. Talk about getting slapped across the face! I completely forgot that they were doing refurbishments!! I guess it'll be a bit down the road when I get to see it again!!

I never saw the Electrical Parade in DL proper, only at DCA. It was an almost weekly event for us there as we would be having dinner at The Vineyard Room on Saturday evenings and the parade would come by JUST before we started dessert. Some very fond memories.....

Yeah I think the refurb for ROA is up until June ? Should come back around the same time that WOC will. They'll need to have both running at the same time for crowd control.

Come for Gay Day's in October. DCA won't be finished until end of 2012, but at least WOC will be up and running full force.

Hey! 1979 was the year I was born! I remember growing up with the Electric Parade, and I remember the first year they replaced it with some fiber optic disaster that was so bad it only lasted one year.

Can you believe I've never been. I love me some fried chicken, but I usually only have it when I'm on vacation, and Orange County is just not far enough for a vacation.

However I do love the boysenberry Ice Cream at Knott's.

One place I've never been, Knotts Berry Farm. Not really sure I have much of a desire, but Steven and I talk about some year checking it out, plus Universal Studios and ending our trip with DL/DCA. I just can't see myself going to Anaheim and not going to DL.

Knott's the park is so so.....a much smaller version of Cedar Point.

But that Chicken restaurant......like walking back in time!

(And you dont need to go into the park to go to the restaurant)

If you were going to go to Knott's, I would recommend you go to Knott's Scary Farm (their Halloween Thing) on a weeknight if that sort of thing is your cup of tea. They did it first, and from what I hear tell they still do it best. Knott's is close enough to Disneyland that you could drive over there for a day trip and not have to switch hotels.

As far as Universal is concerned, I haven't been since I was a kid, and don't have much desire too. I'd rather spend a day at Disneyland with the annual pass I already paid for than go spend money there.
