For SSR Guests Who Have Seen Artist Palette -- Convenience Items Available?

Reading all these posts about the lack of selection at Artist Palette at this point has me a little concerned...did they have convenience items either? That is, was there a place to pick up milk, juice, fruit, etc.? I was going to do a Netgrocer delivery but thought I would be able to get the perishables at the resort. Is there even a section for this yet?

Yes, there is a whole wall of fully stocked refigerated cases with all the standard basics.

During each day of our stay at SSR, more and more basics arrived. By the time we left, SSR had all the basics (eggs, milk, juice, etc). And, I should add, whenever they did not have something, they apologized profusely and offered to run over to OKW and pick it up for us. So you can get whatever you need.

That must have been before the grand opening day, as the cases were completely full then?

And I feel the need to add something about Artitsts Pallette, for what they lack with raw numbers of selection, they completely beat in the choices available. What they do offer is a very interesting selection and very different from the other restaurants in the resorts. I had a very nice and different caesar salad with chicken strips, and the meatloaf dinner looked absolutely delicious.

How are the prices compared to walmart for basics such as milk and bread?

this is disney remember so it is much higher. But nothing to crazy!!

If you go to the member website, you can download grocery lists for each resort. They are under the Vacation Planning Tools section.

According to the list, they charge $2.95 for a half-gallon of milk and $2.69 for white bread. Not the greatest prices--you really pay for the convenience.

For an extra $5 (per order), they will deliver the groceries to your room and stock your kitchen.

For those asking about SSR, it now has its own grocery list on the web site. I didn't look at the list item-by-item, but it does look about 20% smaller than some of the other resorts.
